Are they pressure treated plywood?

 

I want to say yes but that was also like 2 years ago when I made them, maybe longer.

 

Either way...you can't beat FREE! I can always throw some outdoor paint on them to protect them from the elements

Simple mod guess coating with Fluid Film would be a good idea also if there isn't already something there.

It's a great battery for sure! There is some deal where they have to be charged at a higher voltage for X amount of time every soo often or something. My solar charger does it automatically. Maybe someone can chime in on if it really lowers the life if it's not done?

 

Believe that a fully charged battery will drop "contaminants" from its plates keeping them clean and better able to hold a charge. The video from above basically does the same by charging at 200amps to boil everything off. Battery in my Audi is 11 years old and had been "boiled" twice so far.

 

So, it looks like the 3rd Gen's use the 24F size battery. With that battery after rebate and core return the total price is $233. Jumping on this deal.
