I put the firestone in my work truck and liked them. So I automatically went with them again. And was thinking as I was putting them in about the cradles I've seen as I poke around here in this forum. And though well that's not what I have since the bottom is connected.
    Questions.
1 Can I take the bolt holding the bottom of the spring to the bottom bracket out and replace with a cradel ?
2 During wheeling can a spring fail because the bottom is ripped out?

    Thanks for the information.

I think so. It not only will keep your oil change cleaner, but there is also advantages when it comes to oil drain back. This adapter allows you to use a spin on filter with an anti drain back valve.

    1) yes, you can see the guy add the Daystar Cradles to his airbags here:

    2) I personally haven't seen an airbag rip out from wheeling, but it can't be good for the bag. Firestone also makes spacers for the bags for those who need to accommodate a lift.

So cool,, thanks so much. I just ordered a set.
I got to use my bags for the first time today. I put 950+ pounds in the bed today with some stack stone. (Modding our fireplace, lol). They work great. What is weird is how much heavier our tacos are on the driver side. It takes almost twice the psi on drivers side to get level. Is that all gas tank? I'm interested to see when I get down to empty will that change significantly.
Thanks again for the heads up.

I personally have always added equal PSI to the bags so the truck handles even, but I could see raising it up a few PSI to make it level. Taco's are notorious for the Taco Lean because the driver, battery and the gas tank are all located on the driver's side. Headstrong Offroad makes a strut spacer to fix the lean over here.

Next time you put your truck to work, post up over here! GL!

What is that black box on your roof? I have a 16 too and I did the meso 3rd tail light mod a really long time ago, I don't recall seeing a box like that on mine.

I was curious as well. I told myself to get a picture of the numbers but in a rush to put everything together I forgot all about it. I’ll try to look it up on Alldata today and see If I can find any diagrams and get back to you guys.

Since I never checked in here yesterday.....I did give it a hand wash and vacuum, crazy, but welcomed winter here so far, as I was able to wear a T-shirt while cleaning it - I'll take sunny and 48 degrees in the last week of January.....especially on my day off! As someone else recently posted here after washing their Tacoma, you can thank me later for the snow and rain later this week! Bill in MA
