One member on here swapped the Tundra's 4.7 in. Certain years are supposed to mate right up to the 4.0's transmission. Not sure if that's the Manual or Auto, though.

Would definitely not be a kit though but it's been done here and I'm sure the member who did it could help you.

 

I think you just find a wrecked 4.0 that’s 4wd. Get the tranny, motor and Diff.

 

I am ALWAYS willing to host. HUGE yard, plenty of driveway room, most all tools, and now with ceiling mounted air and electric. Beer\liquor fridge too. Currently sand rail's in the garage mostly assembled and running. Testing the new gear shifter / linkage tomorrow so it will be a daily soon!!!

Just the swap. For 35 it was dropped off at a renouned speed shop in cali, got a rebuilt LS1 engine, installed and wired professionally. You could not tell, everything worked from cab. 2 separate computers... one for engine, one for everything else. It is pretty special to see, and even more incredible to hear.

The 25K was also done at a shop. it was a rebuilt 350 and although not as clean as the above, still incredibly sweet. It was 2 years ago I met both guys at local AZ meets when I was very active and the ban hammer was killing us off.

Basically, my woes are bigger than me and as the locals know, I cannot give up on this 05 Taco, so I'm going to join back in on these pages and help where I can so I can get help when I can.

 

The things these local peeps and the TW community did for me and my late wife (of 32 years) was unbelievable. She had a few places on her wish list, and thanks to everyone we managed to do every spot but one. Time ran out on us, but it would have been so much worse if we didn't leave quick, and everyone pitched in and off we went!!! TW is more than a website to many, that's for sure. After a couple of years, I'm trying to get my direction and purpose back, and I simply miss TW.

Budget will be decided once job situation is solidified, minimum will be for used guaranteed 06 or newer engine at 2500, best case will be 10K which will be new engine plus a 4x4 used car.

At this stage of my life I don't want to finance anything.

I'm guessing 3rd gens center console is different than 2nd gen? I got a brand new unopened safe for a 3rd gen. Never realized it was for a 3rd gen till I pulled the box out the other day!

Anyone here work at EOS? Have decent favor that I’d like to take to PMs if so.

 

Need some advice from all our bicycle riding peeps. Looking to get into a decent light trail riding bike. Have no idea what I’m doing. Advice would be appreciated for brand, etc.

I rode Specialized back in the day. Road bike, hardtail, and full downhill.

There is such a thing a in AZ but its also easy to get into the rough stuff on easy trails as well. Tons of options out there for trails and most can be done on full suspension bikes, less on hard tails. Like with trucks, there are a lot of mods and types of suspensions.

If you're just getting into biking, I'd go with a full suspension bike with a minimum of 4" of travel. 5 would be better, especially if you are 200+ lbs and have friends that ride more demanding trails. Gotta select your budget though bc you can spend more on a bike than used motorcycle pretty easy. I'd recommend looking at last years models, even 2018s and demo bikes that are for sale.
