He got in an accident in the snow one time, went off the road and literally ripped the rear axle out from under the car! Insurance would have totaled it, but he dropped it off at the body shop before notifying his insurance company and they didn't total it!

My buddy had an old Cutlass and wrecked into some lady in the snow, threw his front end pieces in the trunk and gave the lady cash to fix her car. About a month later he gets pulled over and the cop keeps calling him a Son Of A Bitch and saying "you thought you would get away with it". He is like WTF I didn't do anything... Turn out a guy in the same color Cutlass hit a kid and ran and the cops were hunting for him, having saved those parts in his trunk proved that he wasn't the guy they were looking for.

Did he prove it on the spot or did he have to go downtown?

He proved it on the spot, once he pulled everything out and showed the cop he was apologetic. Same buddy took that car to WV and dropped his keys in a lake, had to break the steering column and start it with pliers, lol.

I really hate it when people jump to conclusions; I've been guilty of it myself, but I don't have the power to arrest people or write tickets...

I guess since the guy hit and ran a kid and hurt him bad caused the cop to over-react.

In LA, the police shot up an innocent mother and daughter's 2nd Gen Taco because they thought it belonged to a rogue cop who'd killed another cop; Funny thing was that the rogue cop in question drove a Nissan Titan...

The buddy that had a Camaro bought the Cutlass but this was years prior to the Camaro. We went to the junkyard and got a new steering column and front header panel and had it looking pretty good, this was also the car I told you about where it broke down and they stole the wheels.

Yeah he broke down and when I was going with him to fix it, it was laying on the frame in the dirt, they didn't even put it on blocks!

The LAPD also T-boned an innocent motorist's 2006 Honda Ridgeline when they were looking for the rogue cop; Any cop who mistakes a Ridgeline for any real pickup truck needs to be kicked off the force...

I think theft should be punished a bit more harshly than it currently is, especially identity theft!

One night I was leaving Wal-Mart and maybe got a mile down the road and all of a sudden 3 Crown Vic's boxed me in, scared the fuck out of me! After about 30 seconds they all raced away and a few miles down the road they had a Silver Dakota pulled over with the guy face down on the highway, glad they knew the difference between a Tacoma and Dakota!

I think it's obvious that the police should require a much more stringent eye test! Do police departments ever get sued for such rookie mistakes?

Yeah I imagine they do. On the good side, last week a State Trooper hit a lady head on in the median because she had some kind of medical episode and was in the process of crossing into oncoming traffic, he possibly saved people from death or injury!
