Looks like an SDHQ panel. MESO also makes one, and I believe he is opening orders for another batch soon.

Hey guys, been awhile since i wired this thing up(so i got the earlier versions). My front camera finally crapped out, probably because it was always hot, since i didnt power up the red wire running alongside the rca cable.
So i want to rework how the cam gets powered. I did a little reading and i know i have to tie the power running with rca to the red of the relay, but the other problem is i have to cut off the constant power from my original setup. I cant remember how it was wired to be constantly hot. Like i said, did it awhile ago but followed the instructions...any clues on where to start? From the camera, it goes to rca and then theough the firewall, after that im not sure where constant power comes to power it up. Is it a connection on the switch?

I am fairly certain you would wire the red RCA wire back to the relay? It’s been a long while for me! Somewhere in these pages someone referred to that set up which powers the camera only upon use

Ya i got that part but i still have to cut off the constant power from original setup. I think you did it like me as well(didnt use power wire with rca). Sooner or later, it will kill your cam, or maybe i just got unlucky

I believe I have my power tapped into the green wire from the relay, actually. Or maybe that completes the circuit. Can't remember. But the two wires I used are red and green. I assume it works because there's a noticeable delay between switching to the front and seeing a feed.

Finally got mine in and wired up, though not as quick and easy as I'd of thought. As I was using the SwitchPros to both power camera (didn't want the camera powered up all the time) and relay, any time I went into reverse, the front camera was still coming on (being backfed and powered by the head unit trigger). I thought the diode in the anytimebackup cam harness was supposed to prevent that, but couldn't get it to work for me the way I wanted. In the end I just grabbed another relay I had in the old parts box to isolate the harness head unit trigger and close it only when front camera is turned on via the SwitchPros.

Went with the Natika camera with it mounted higher up on the grille. With having the C4 LoPro bumper and hoop, and still wanting to be able to just see the hoop in the camera view for inching up on things, this position worked pretty well.

Works great, and is already a blessing. Huge difference trying to park and close distance, and also driving in breakover situations. Have a parking entrance at work that was "crest over and hope for the best" type of thing....just driving blind. And exiting the garage....any pedestrian under 5'8" tall walking down the sidewalk was impossible to see over that hood. Now, a flick of the switch, and glorious wide view of everything to the front.

Awesome in these situations, and will be awesome in breakover situations off road. Very worthwhile mod, and removes an almost daily aggravation.

One of my thoughts about installing a front camera is it'd be great for parking lot and town work, but could spend a lot of time being a hassle off road due mud splashing up on the camera, requiring frequent cleaning by hand. Most of my off roading revolves around hunting season. Which means rain, snow, mud...and lots of it, with a lot of mud splashing on the front end, limiting usefulness of a front cam, or at best having to stop, get out and clean it anytime I'm about to crest a hill and would like to use it. Yeah....like that's gonna happen every time. Problem solved...

Cool sprayer...must of beem a bunch of work. Surprisingly tho, the camera doesnt get as dirty as one might think...well unless you going through a really wet and muddy trail.

Yeah, but unfortunately this is the norm for me.....

    FB_IMG_1496949112639 sm.jpg

And usually for a couple weeks on end. Next up, want to get some low key headlight washers. Sucks ass to stop every couple miles to clean lights on a 50 mile trip in, as headlight / off road light function just goes to shit in a hurry.

Ford Explorer limited front camera sprayer. Took a bit of searching the interwebs to locate what I wanted but Ford (*cough*) had what I needed. Hopefully the Ford part doesn't spread cancer, lol.

Fit in there good. Little thing isn't but an about an inch long. Once I had it in the grille and got the angle adjusted just right (had to modify the sprayer slightly), just T'd off the sprayer line coming off the pump, tossed in a check valve, and done.

I wired up my 2020 kit as instructed and installed it...nothing. Backlight turns on and when I go into reverse, the reverse button on the switch lights up.

I'll double check my wiring tomorrow and if that's good, see if I can try a different relay. I'm hoping it's not because I'm 6MT.

Figured it out. Took it all apart, verified wiring was good then decided to use a different ground when I put it back together. Was all good then!

Here's some pics in my 2020 Sport. Interesting side effect, because the ABC essentially tricks the HU into thinking it's in reverse, it causes the GPS in CarPlay to freak out and think I did a 180. I don't think this is really a problem once I stop playing around with it. I'm mostly giddy about having it. :D

Are you able to select the forward and side cams and keep them selected anytime? I ask because you mentioned that this was tricking it with the reverse signal.
