So in trying to follow the original posting for this, I've messed up 3 things. ..... My remote lock/unlock key fob, the air bags, and lsd. The lsd light is on but non of the abs is working. Track, abs, etc.

o_O You definitely need that harness I’m not sure what wire you’d have to splice off the OEM connector with out that pice.

Anybody mess with changing the lens for the front camera? I feel like 170 - 180ish degrees isn't really needed in the front, and I'm guessing the distortion makes things in front seem way too far away.

I'm pretty happy with how this turned out on my 2015. Great mod!

Does yours display through the rear view mirror or do you have a nav screen?

I can toggle front and rear cameras through the dash screen. It's an entune model without navigation.

Is this same mod possible if the screen is on the rear view mirror on my 2012?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I don't have one of those. I used the harness from anytimebackupcamera.com and plugged it in between my existing harness to my radio. I'm sure there's a way to make it work.

I bought the same kit...was the depth behind the switch location an issue?

did you have to remove that lower dash piece to install the switch or were you able to feed the plug to the hole without removal?

Nothing too exciting... maybe a little rust
Does anyone else have their camera "time out" after leaving it on for a bit, like maybe 3-4 minutes? My wiring is a bit different than described here if I remember right (it's been a couple years since I wired it) but I'm not sure that really matters.

You have to push the blanks out from the inside. You have to take off the radio cover. Once you push out the blank, you just drop the switch in first from the outside, then connect the wires after. No problem with space.

This is E.X.A.C.T.L.Y my same question. I just want to have my rear camera come up on my Pioneer head unit, instead of my rearview mirror. Then, if I can make it that way with a harness and put in a switch to let me check it on the fly, EVEN BETTER. Anyone have an answer on this??

Reviving an old thread. Hopefully someone sees this.

I followed the instructions here, but still not get the desired results. Any electrical gurus see a problem with my wiring?

I have everything loosely test connected now. When I push the button the only thing I get is thre reverse light on the dash to come on. But no camera in the rearview mirror.
