Great product, they just aren't geared for the supply/demand thing. It's great they only use all US produced materials too but if there is a supply shortage, they don't make shit and ignore the demand. There are good, viable options for non-US made materials that they could use temporarily and not compromise product quality.

I did . It was a pain in the ass to get one part of it done but otherwise not to bad to put in. I waited for a like 6 months for them to be in stock. I think that they sell out quick and they use them in there rebuildt transmissions. So he must only do small batches.
I do like it . It dose seems to get better every time I drive it. My shifter doesn't wanr to pop out of gear any more. And the stick is up higher so that's nice too. And it's a nice engagement. My stick always come loose though I think I need to lock-tite it.

Cleaned the throttle body and IAC valve & wound up with a rough, stuttery idle. I was mystified...all vacuum hoses and electrical connections were secure and I used a new gasket (aftermarket). Cables were also properly adjusted as well, but she just wouldn't idle or run well below 2K rpm and to add insult to injury she also popped a CEL. I searched various threads here and also tried disconnecting the negative battery cable for ten minutes, but to no avail. Made some coffee and gave the situation some thought and wondered if the gasket was the issue so I decided to reinstall the stock one, which is thin steel compared to the thicker O'Reilly's part. Pulled the battery cable again, did the swap, buttoned everything back up and lo, back to her old self (still a little rumbling on idle but better than it was. Probably won't be buttery smooth until I replace the IAC assembly altogether). The CEL was also gone.
Root cause of the problem was this bastard:

OEMs are filled with grease. Not sure what kind. In the pics I had wiped off most of the grease that had leaked out of the tops. The new ones have the same rubber grease boot design. I kinda wish the OEMs had zerk fittings like some aftermarket ones do.

I had one in my 2000 Tacoma and it was great!!!! Just be prepared for gear noise coming up through the shifter. It’s a 2 piece with no rubber isolator like the stock shifter handles have.

From what I have read, the grease isn't really for lubrication. The metal ball rides inside of a liner. The grease is there in the beginning to condition the liner and keep water/moisture out.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/check-your-ball-joints.374853/page-2#post-10284167

The aftermarket joints have a zerk for grease because they need the grease to function. They have a metal ball in a metal socket, so the grease helps to slow the wear down.

...While on the Ring Loop hike, we'd spotted an ideal spot for camping just to the south of Hole in the Wall, and we made our way that direction so we could get setup and start dinner before the sun set completely. It was perfect timing as it turned out, a break in the clouds along the horizon providing an amazing show for us as the sun lit the sky from below. Combined with the snow-capped mountains, and tasty grilled hot dogs, it was a great way to...

Has anyone ever relocated there cruise control module??

Aslo I move my ditch lights down to my bumper. I think that they will work nicely as fogs. I'll find out tonight when I can aim them.

I don't know what that igniter module does but I moved mine to hang off a bolt on the windshield wiper motor and then moved my cruise box closer to the air cleaner box to make room for my air compressor.

I just noticed your name and avatar, haha. They are damn good tacos. In my travels with work I went through Auburn, WA and stopped at a Taco Time, it looked like it should’ve been an office building:

Ignition module is actually bolted to the rubber boot thing leading into the cab. You have to untangle part of the loom to move it but there's no re-wiring, just rerouting. The cruise I moved forward as much as possible and only had to drill a couple holes for rivnut inserts.
