Lol unless you toss them all into a pile on the floor and dig them out for bedtime that's totally illogical. Your pillow should always be in your side of the bed completely eliminating any potential confusion. I even change pillow cases on separate sides of the bedroom so that our pillows don't get mixed up.

I have three pillows on my bed one of them is not a match. The reason for this is that I use at the prop up my arm while I sleep and I just happen to have it

Edit: two pillowcases are tan and one is brown in either case they both match my bedding

 

There are 4 pillows. Things happen in that room that may or may not cause them to get mixed up.

Not that I am aware of. We do have a 55mi loop trail though. Works its way around the town in and out of different terrain up here.
