Which is sad considering a Ford Raptor starts at $54,800

Really? That has to be the most hideous looking truck on the road. I mean what is wrong over at Nissan? The design team over there has got to be blind AF. Just about everything they make is a huge turd.

    I couldn’t agree more.

VW has also gone off the design path as well. They used to make cars and buses that were different and unique. Now their lineup looks like every other car on the road. VW would have customer waiting lists again if they sold a basic next generation all electric Beetle with an affordable $19,995 price tag.

Thanks. That's what I figured and it skews the results. Nobody pays near MSRP for a full sized from the big 3. So in reality they keep their value better than these charts show.

Looks are subjective, I happen to like it. They revamped it for '20 with a slightly new look, a 9spd auto, 3.70 gears, more power an updated interior and more standard features.

Tundras sell at a discount of about 13% to MSRP.

But the back seat is likely still bigger then the crew cab tacoma(at least it is on the ford, gm, and ram) for the smaller cab

It won't happen at that price point. The safety regulations alone will dictate a higher base price but I agree, an electric beetle. The shape is almost perfect for one and I'm sure that within a decade they'll bring out something like it. I was dissapointed they didn't have an ID buzz at the show but the were branding themselves as "the future" already.

At Toyota the 2021 RAV prime looks really interesting...

The next generation 2022 ID Buzz all electric van should sell like hot cakes when it’s released. What marketing genius came up with the name? Its awful.

I get that most vehicles sell at below MSRP. And I'm sure the Tundra/Tacoma have better resale. Just think a more accurate way would be average price actually paid and expected value in 5 years vs MSRP and expected value in 5 years.

Now change that to 2300 miles a month and $3 a gallon! Hence my choice of Tacoma, in addition to the smaller size.

I understand. Everyones situation is different. If I didn't buy a travel trailer I'd still have the Tacoma.

I had a '14 Tundra. It was the first Platinum crew max they had ever sold. It was a beautiful truck. Drove great.
Except for 4wd there were no off road items at all. Stereo was horrible and the door panels like to change color from black to green in certain spots. Terribly small gas tank, I filled up almost daily. I paid 46k, drove it for 3 years and 100k miles. No issues mechanically. I got 31500 on trade for the Duramax I have now.
