My first Taco

So here we go. Wife is already wondering how much I intend to drop on my 2010 after we got home from the dealer.


Still waiting for paperwork to get put together


Dealer needs to learn to drive a stick. But I got an extra $500 off and a brand new bumper a week later


I love the exhaust and intake, sounds great




First time off road. I found some old logging trails near Taos NM


Removed mudflaps and got some sliders and light bar put on.


Handy spot to put my garage opener. Just used a bit of double sided mounting tape

 

Don't wanna sound like a dumb ass but what is that little t handle for?

On other trucks (mine) its a small storage compartment. I'm sure it's the same for other trucks, I have just never seen that.

 

Its the e-brake, yours is the foot thing right. Its cause i think his is Manual

Finally got around to getting my PIAA lamps on the light bar. I think It looks pretty good.

I ran the wiring through the firewall with the main cluster on the driver side. Used a fuse tap to get power for the relay switch from the accessory fuse then ran the switch itself through the center console by the stick up into the console box. I found a simple but nice lighted switch from Radio shack and used a spade bit to punch the hole through the center console.

 

The TRD off road use to only come w/everything color keyed and w/a hood scoop. Maybe they have changed things unless you added the decals. With the Bilstein Off Road Shocks you would be surprised how fast you can fly off roading and the handling once you learn the truck first and r a good off road driver. LOL I typically scare people and even jump the truck on occasion but I have owned it almost 7 years and know how it handles quite well; also drives like a sports car compared to other trucks, great handling. Governed around 112mph so not a race car. LOL I personallly would not blow a bunch of money putting toys in it. If that were the case you should have just bought the luxurious Tundra. If you're an agressive driver, you'll get the same or better gas mileage with a roomier truck.
