Agreed. I've taken shots like that in the past (see below, not an entry of course) but the weather here in western PA is just garbage this time of year.

 

I think it has more of an "early Top Gear shenanigans" vibe to me.

No. That’s just called laziness.

Yes. I’ve said that numerous times before. I don’t deny my laziness. I own it.

 

And Murph?

 

Yeah crap here this week also. Although I picked up a new shotgun right before Christmas for myself and Wednesday took the day off and drove 2 hours each way to shoot heated 5 stand with some friends. Couldn't even see the road most of the way there or back.

Panning in my case is almost always Birds In Flight. Wasn't going to risk a drive to the river to get an Eagle shot this weekend, thought about it been a long time. Saturday out on my deck grilling had a pair of these overhead.



Larger than a Coopers Hawk pretty sure they are Northern Goshawk which would be a first for me.

More gliding overhead then fast flying so not exactly a lot of panning so didn't enter it. That would be cheating. Sort of like shooting a grouse sitting on a tree limb instead of flying on the wing. AKA limb chicken.

I only can speak for myself. Murph has some personal stuff he’s taking care of right now which requires his attention more than this thread.

Actually I think there was a top gear episode towards the end where they had to fit a dog in the back area of a hatchback challenge and then do a lap around the track. One of the dogs was not built for motorsport though and created a new challenge, In the words of Clarkson, "How much sick can one dog produce in a single day?"

Edit: Caravan challenge in S8E6. It was Hammond's personal labradoodle.

 

I would have liked to go to 24 hours of Daytona race ,,,a little to far for a photo challenge,I do go most every year when they come to Canadian Tire Motersports Park (Mosport)
