Looks like my unrelated travels this late summer will afford me another trip to Round Up...

Anyone already planning to set aside time for Round up?
How about Rendezvous in the Ozarks?

Other than that, I'm thinking of hitting up Moonlight this Saturday if anyone would like to join.

A little late evening 4Runner action. Still need to attach the side wings and cut the bumper for them. :sawzall:

The Southwest is our favorite! We are trying to figure out a plan to move to very rural southern Utah...but that far off in the future unless we win the lottery. I'm excited to take the Tacoma out. We are considering the El Camino del Diablo trail because its more on route of where we are heading, and possibly making Death Valley a trip of its own entirely. If you are ever near Capitol Reef/Bryce Canyon DM me and I'll share the best BLM campsite in the area. It's about 20 minutes from Capitol Reef, 1 hour to Grand Staircase - Escalante, and 2 hours to Bryce Canyon, and about 3 from Canyonlands. We only planned to stay for a night, but ended up staying a few so we had a central location to all of the monuments and parks, we didn't mind the driving. The campsite is super small, secluded, but the individual lots were large and private, and most surprising....had flushing toilets! We will definitely be back to the site.

Here's a photo of my Ram in Canyonlands:
    ram cayonlands.jpg

Here's a photo of a view from the campsite. Whats nice about the campsite is that all have a fire ring + table. In our site we were able to walk down a small path (20 paces? maybe a little more) a bit away from our truck and away from the table/fire ring. I will say this campsite has a LOT of field mice. at night I turned on headlamp to the red light and watched them run around around on the ground. We didn't cook there that evening, but some locals came by and used our campsite to make s'mores...that was awkward when we pulled up for the evening and they were there lol. But nonetheless, the small kids left some chocolate out and the field mice were on the hunt for it. I was happy that the tent wasn't near the cooking area for that reason alone. This was before I owned a RTT. There were a couple spaces for small RV's, but RTT's would have room in most of the camp spots. With a NPS pass, its around $5/night sunglow camp.jpg

camping around capitol reef is on my list. I've been through there a couple times but never been able to stay. I really need to make a trip and just explore that region for a few days.

    Guys/ Gals.
I’m not sure if we have a local powder coater we work with or refer.
I’m getting my bumper PC’d at STL Powder Coat this week. I got a great price and they can get me ASAP. In fact, tomorrow if I wanted, I just don’t have time to drop it off tonight.

If these guys work out good I’m going to try to get some sort of discount going for us.

    They’re in Labadie, MO
