:rofl:It could also be that short beds are way way more popular.

They’re all nice trucks who are we kidding. I see shortbeds and go fuck I wish I got a shortbed, that looks damn good. Then I’ll see another shortbed and I’m like goddamn that’s ugly.

Then I see a longbed and I’m like goddamn that’s weird looking then another fuck that’s nice.

Depends on the angle I guess. But I drive a full size for work all day, ext cab Chev with Reg box. And it’s a pleasure to get in my long bed, still pretty nimble compared to the Chev, way easier to park. Even parallel parking in the city is easier I find. And she floats along like a caddy.

I don’t haul things often, but when I do the 6ft bed is hardly long enough. These 3rd gens are great trucks, I’m very happy with mine.

At the end of the day 13” of wheelbase probably isn’t gonna make your life any better or worse.

I live in the city so I didn't want a long bed. I'm glad I went short because my taco just barely fits in my garage at my new apartment.

I saw this one show up at a local dealer and I said to myself I should go test drive it. I kept driving by it everyday for another six weeks, then finally went in and test drove this and several DCs, including a DC with a LB. This was just the right length and I didn't need the DC back seats. I'm considering a camper top of some sort (like a GFC), so the more room the better. Great truck!

I think the shortbed looks better. I really don't use the bed very much so I don't need a long bed. But if you want a long bed go for it. It all depends on what you like and need. My shortbed is all I need.

I got a new fishing rod and I couldn't even put it diagonally in my long bed... it's 7'6" (1-piece) I had to leave the tonneau open and rest it on a cargo bar to stick up and out

I'm a contractor who uses my SB as a service vehicle so I gotta laugh when someone says the SB is for people who don't need a truck. 99% of the LB's I see are all hauling air anyways. If I was in the market and had to have a LB, i'd head straight for my local Ford dealer and get an F150. I mean, i'd hate myself, but why pay Tacoma prices and get a slightly taller midget with weak gas mileage and mid size power when a half ton is right there and better in almost every way.

Yes. Sometimes. That's exactly what a contractor does.
