I average 16-18 MPG in my 2.7L auto regular cab, at least around town; Maybe 20-22 on the highway...

Mine is a Manual Transmission, so perhaps 1 mpg better than yours, as stock.

Mine is obvious to all but Stevie Wonder, that it is far from stock. I've got in neighborhood of 400+ lbs of bumpers, bed covers, and roof racks onboard, and Parasitic Drag that is just through the roof, pun intended. The effort that was required to reduce rack noise to tolerable noise levels through sound insulation deadening, and a cover over the rack bars.. from that audible source of boundary layer turbulence.. not an aerodynamically clean rack at all. The front bumper sure doesn't help with drag coefficient, either.

It wasn't built for economy, but for the drive away laughing factor.

Did you put a backup camera and intermittent wipers in yours?

Mine was a project for a full three years.. if i considered it a benefit, it got ordered. I think intermittent stalk came 3rd or 4th mod in, backup cam came with an Android head unit install.

I've still got a couple major add-ons to go, now much delayed.. once i got the truck to a certain point, certain projects on side, sort of lost importance.

How many miles/kilometers? My truck was a gift from my parents, brand new in September 2009 with 20 miles on the clock when we drove it home; Hit 100K in mid-July 2019, and currently at a little over 109K miles!

    Last oil change, i think at 146k KM's. That's 90k Miles.

    I commute 70 km (43 miles) daily.. that's 90% driving the same daily rat-race since March 2011.

I wonder if your truck would be legal anywhere in my country...? Same emissions equipment, right?

Our emissions standards are patterned after California CARB standards .. we might even have some additional requirements.. we did up until recently have a bi-annual Smog Test.

Good thing we don't, now. That would have been a total fail with a changed-out header, and a reworked exhaust that breathes much easier..

Probably wouldn't pass emissions in Pennsylvania then :(

This was either right before or not long after I started watching The Sopranos, in either 2007 or 2008...

I was in high school (even though I graduated in 2007 I still attended until the spring of ‘08), and I was chatting with my behavioralist; She was telling me about one of her clients, a male kindergartener who cussed so much that it rivaled truck drivers and sailors. This kid was maybe six year old; So, my behavioralist calls the profane pipsqueak our on his language, and the excuse he gave her was “That’s how they talk on The Sopranos!”

My jaw absolutely dropped at the thought of a six-year old watching that show; The language was far from the worst in TV history, but what about the drug references, the drug use, the nudity, the sexual references, the actual sex? I didn’t know what “having sex” was until I was eleven (I remember being in 5th grade when my dad gave me “the talk”; I could have been ten, but I think I was eleven), to give you an idea; This kid was six!

I didn’t hold back and said this kid’s parents were idiots for letting him watch the show; My behavioralist agreed...

I got the standard “where babies come from” talk from my dad no more than a year after the HBO series made its debut; I’d say I was probably ready to watch The Sopranos by the time the fifth season came out in 2004...

Seriously, my parents had let me watch all three Terminator movies in the summer of ‘03, and I don’t think those movies (especially the first one) are much worse than The Sopranos in terms of language, sex, and violence. However, my parents would tell me I’d missed too much of the series to understand it, and would convince me to go downstairs and watch TV or play video games
(ironically it was almost always Vice City, which was just as bad as The Sopranos). Season One was 1999, Season Two was 2000, Season Three was 2001, and Season Four was 2002; For reasons I don’t remember, Season Five did not debut until 2004 and and Season Six was held back until 2006! Furthermore, Season Six Part II was held back until the spring of 2007! Part II had enough episodes that it should have just been called Season Seven; I know for a fact that the second half of the sixth season was delayed because James Gandolfini was injured in a crash on his Vespa.

The worst part about my commute to and from work is pulling into and out of the parking lot; There are two lanes going in each direction, with a single center lane for making turns...

Going into work, the lane very rarely if ever backs up from people turning left to go into the complex, but it always backs up from people waiting turn left in the opposite direction.

If you don’t lay on your horn and force your way in like I sometimes find myself doing, then the line backs up and you’ll find yourself stuck in the left lane until the line moves or someone lets you in; This is the second time this specific scenario has happened this month!

Today, it was an older man in a red Ford Escape who didn’t it personally and waited until I’d gotten into the center lane; Earlier this month, it was a fat woman in a Chevy Cruze who did it take personally and laid on her horn in response to me beeping at her, but still got out of my way.

Leaving work is not quite as tedious but can still take twice as long; There is a train track next door to my work, and all buses are required to turn on their hazards, stop, and open their doors to listen for trains...

One school bus can be annoying during rush hour, but what about two? I’ve seen three school buses in a row in line at the train track! It’s bad enough when you’re stuck behind a bus and you can’t pass the bus because there are people in the next lane, but if you are waiting to make the right turn it is often a bigger pain in the ass! It’s a about a 50/50 chance that someone will actually let you in, but if they they can brake safely the school bus drivers generally always let you (it’s rare that they are able to, though)

I haven't been to a car show since early November! And I haven't entered my truck in a show since Carlisle in August! I'm getting antsy!

I don't know if it's worth it to enter, but I'll definitely come!

Also, as I told you before I don't think I'm going to get my truck judged at Carlisle next year (if I go; Might be in Europe) because the judges are very unpredictable in their standards. In 2017, they gave that Trailblazer in drag 2nd place; In 2018, I didn't win any prize because they deemed that shitty '93 Nissan pickup to be more stock than my truck even though it was trashed; Last year I got third place again because they had the gall to take points off for normal wear and tear!

    :annoyed:

You mean the Greater Philly Expo Center in Oaks? They something called the Mid-Atlantic Indoor Nationals there last April that definitely served its purpose; That purpose was to get my mind off of the shitty job I was working at the time!
