You get 5 tune files to upload of your choice. Takes roughly at MOST 5 minutes to swap between tunes. Biggest thing you gotta do is at the end, shut truck off 20 sec, start up for 60 second+, turn off and than youre golden. I got sent 3 files for my handheld. I waited to get my ovtune because i wanted a handheld like this. Well worth the weight. You can even use it to monitor your ECU specs. Timing, throttle pos etc etc

Seems fine going down the road. It’s the start right off the line that’s the issue. I flashed back to the tune I prefer and it was immediately perfect off the line. It didn’t take a tank for it to be perfect again. It was immediate.

Let's try to keep feedback to zendesk. Don't need the thread going overboard.
If you guys do post here please include your truck mods, tire/gears etc.

@OVTune will I have any issue accessing the new 2.0 tune when it’s released with handheld? Looking to order before end of February because of discount.

I remember reading somewhere that the various maps for 2.0 will be activated via the CC stalk - is that still the case or have I missed some update in the latest thousand or so posts...

    I don't believe so, just:
    "D"
    "ECT"
    "S-MODE"
    Used in different combinations.

Thank you for the feedback everyone.
The current changes, according to reports, work very very well for trucks that are geared.
not as much for stock gears.
no worries thank you for testing

The beta for 04B04 5.29 made my truck drive a lot better overall. I have 5.29s and the 4.88 beta was an improvement, but the 5.29 beta is much better of course.

Take off from a stand still is much improved and 3rd gear actually doesn’t drop off anymore.

Also at 75mph, my rpm is 2300ish, Through hypertech, which is spot on(gps verified)

now just waiting on TT release :burnrubber:

Thanks, I sent the request before you announced the other version so just figured I’d be getting a response.

So I can't find info on the biggest difference between performance and gear lock? Also did my first tank run after flashing for the first time. Impressed, obviously the idle after start up and taking off is rough, thinking of doing 91 octane tune but curious about performance and gear lock. Thanks

Other than the added gear locking functionality in S-mode + ECT, the Gear Lock and Performance tunes have the exact same programming.

Gear locking = manual shifting mode. You turn it on/off by switching to S-mode and pushing the ECT button. (Note: make sure you switch the ECT button off before switching back to D-mode, or you will experience NO downshifting).

If the manual shifting doesn't interest you, stick with the "performance" versions of the tune.

Great info. Thank you. I do like manual mode. Filling up with 91 right now.
