I purchased an adapter from Amazon that plugs into the back of the head unit that provides inputs for rca’s and the remote wire. Super simple install, lt took about 10 mins start to finish.

Jesus that seems like an excessive amount of work. I suppose if that's your thing it's worth it but... Yeah... Jesus.

What do you think undercoating is? It does more than just try to help stop rust. Anytime you add weight to an object, you change the materials resonance frequency. This is how most “sound deadening” products for the automotive industry work. You could also use spray on bedliner as well.

I assume spray on bed liner does the same thing lol.

I went with all my doors and back with noico and a closed cell foam layer. But now I hear a crapton of wind noise from my driver's window.... Pretty sure it's due to a weird door seal (not even pressure with a sheet of paper but who knows).

Was going to do the floor and roof but gdamn that's a lot of work. I'll do roof when I eventually add a roof rack though. Still unsure about floor.

    Just getting started...
Literally just ordered some FatMat to do the roof and back wall when my rack I ordered finally manages to show up. Knock it all out at once.

Great job and thanks for all the pics and info OP!

I did this back in the summer. Took me like 2 days to do it all. Now I have the itch to do the roof to "complete" the job but I am dreading taking down the headliner.

There are many many out there, these are just the ones I know of. Most of them a ceramic spheres in them to control heat also. I used acoust-x on the roof of my truck, Im planning to do more this summer. Spray on does a better job than mats do as it can flow into cracks, but its also way more labor to do it. You have to strip out everything, then tape and cover everything else, then spray it, let it dry, spray another coat, let it dry, then you can start putting it back together after 24 hours or so.

I have put in Racesport gen3 leds I'm the process of doing a custom audio overhaul which will include Hybrid audio unity 6x9 mid bass, unity 3 inch mid driver in the dash and fiberglassing tweets in pilar soundeading all the doors, floors, and headliner and I will be using a helix processor to retain the factory radio and as far as subs I might make custom brackets to move rear seat foward a few inches to get a full size sub in there or I might just go with a pair of jl tw5 or tw3 and it will all be powered by jl audio HD amps or I might try out the new hybrid amps
It is absolutely worth it! I deadned my entire truck three layers all the way through(floor, headliner, doors, back wall) I did one layer regular butyl followed by a layer of butyl/ccf topped by a half inch sound suppressing foam! The carpet was a little thought to get back on but it is sooooooooo quiet and I have procomp mt tires

    simple things for now
don't forget the vents on the back wall. did the floors and doors of mine last Oct with Noico. Used some open cell foam cut to fit for the vents. Those alone will dampen some of the road noise. I just cut a strip to slide over the little tabs and made sure the baffles could still close.

Still have to do the roof, but scared to death of pulling the headliner

Its not too bad, you dont need to remove it from the truck either, just lower it enough that you can put the sound deadener up. I layed mine on the dash and front seats, gave me enough space to spray lizard skin on the roof.
