I think I may have seen one of those episodes?

So it talked about the largest gathering of Walrus in eastern Russia.

Ice melting etc so they've decided to use this small bit of land to rest on. Well it's so small and so overcrowded that eventually some never make it on land, or get killed trying to find a spot.

The worse part is for those that make it up and climb up on higher ground. Their vision is shit outside of water, plus walrus aren't supposed to be climbing shit anyway. When they hungry and need to feed, they desperately try to crawl down only to watch them fall to their death.

No shit like +10 were falling and bouncing off the rocks to their death like holy shit.

    Read above.

You're just talking about the food chain, I'm talking about the shit animals have to endure outside of that.

I was a hardcore military loving, death to all who oppose the reign of America, etc. all of my life until about 8 years ago. I've gone overly soft on purpose to hopefully make up for a lot of my wrongs
You mention that guy was in war But on the other side. But He just wanted to make it back him to his family too... It's all the same man. It's the Lottery of Birth. That documentary changed me forever and I'm so glad. The actual people, not the governments and their BS, but the people, 99% of all people worldwide, we're all on the same team and want the same things, provide for the family, have a safe home, etc.

You ever see the show The Man in the High Castle? Duuuuuuuuude the first couple seasons I was so hooked on it. For sake of imagination, think of a world had the Germans won??? And that's kinda the premise to it. I loved it

Was watching one recently that followed a pack of wolves in Canada and showed how one pregnant wolf was roaming on her own, outcast by her own pack. She gave birth to a litter of wolf puppies inside of another wolf pack's territory and the fucking show filmed the other wolves killing each of the pups when their mother was off hunting. I mean I get why they didn't interfere, let nature run it's course and all, but fuck me I couldn't stop watching..it was like an awful train wreck.

Of course the mother wolf comes back and finds the remains of her pups and starts howling in grief...goddamn nature shows

yea it sparked an interesting convo with my wife who was even more disturbed than me, she was thinking at that point the show should have an obligation to step in rather than filming it. I dunno though...that's a slippery slope to me. Those shows are all about showing nature as it is, how it was, where it's going, our impact etc...it would be pretty hypocritical for them to step in and interfere with something just because we as humans find it hard to watch.

But yeah it was fucking hard to watch lol. Poor puppers...especially knowing how fragile the wolf population is already

Speaking of which I hear they want to reintroduce the wolf back into the Sierra Nevadas

Us humans are good at stepping in to intervene when we grow a conscience. We are so full of guilt.

I recall yet another episode where the offspring of another endangered species were also killed/eaten.

Pretty messed up stuff; I've seen some shit in my day but for some reason, if I was the film maker, I would've ran out dual wielding 454 magnums doing all I could to save those little shits.

I loved watching the joe rogan commentary with the guy who would steal caribou carcasses from wolves to eat them. Gonna have to link it in here, but most "nature" fucker I've ever met. Sec.
