    I'm a pretty decent rider and I routinely get smoked by a pack of old dudes on the Horsethief trails when I go to Loma, CO. Your pride doesn't know pain until an 80yo single speeder murders you on a climb, then kicks your ass all the way back down the mountain on a hardtail with no dropper.

    I put some new wheels and tires on today. Cant wait for things to dry up a bit so I can see if the bigger 2.6" tires will make a difference.

    cheap mountain bike challenge.
    kind of fond of the old stuff. cruise CL and FB Marketplace looking for a forgotten/stored/unridden mb. picked this one up for $25.00. last of the Schwinn (American made before the buyout to Pacific Bicycles) Rocket 88. its no Homegrown or Paramount series but it was too tempting to pass up. cleaned the paddle shifter guts, aired the tires, lubed the chain, gave it a whore's bath and away i go.IMG_3908.jpg IMG_3909.jpg

    2013 Trek Fuel EX8. First full suspension bike I’ve owned, had it since 2015 and got a good deal on CL. Love the thing. Upgraded tires, put the 2X SLX drivetrain on and just kept servicing the shocks since.
