Well boys, they're closing our office down. Hoping we get moved to different office, otherwise I'm searching for a new gig :censored:

    :(

    sucks dude

my office is transitioning some of its roles to Utah (clearly to save money on salaries) but it’s “via attrition” so only when someone leaves the company or retires.

who knows how long it’ll stay like that.

    That is less than ideal.

Anyone know a good spot to camp between the Bay area and Bend? Maybe somewhere around Shasta to break up a drive?

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Seems to be the norm a lot of places. Seattle (Amazon, Microsoft) are all moving across the lake to Bellevue or further out to avoid the new Seattle taxes. Things in that area are all too expensive, same with the bay area. If you have a job that isn't needed in a major metropolis, it'll likely get moved in the next 5 years to a more tax friendly state.

Appreciate the messages. We're kind of in limbo, so we aren't sure who is moving where, but we have offices all over the place. There's actually an office a few blocks from me, so it would make sense to move me there. This may end up being a good thing, but they are ironing out the details this week.

If they do move me there, I'm about to buy a longboard and ride to work

Probably just commercial since it will only be to get some sleep. Hoping to make the trip all at once, but just want a spot in case i need to cut it in half.

Also if anyone needs anything brought back let me know!

You could find a nice parking lot in Klamath Falls. Sleep at the truck stops, something like that.

Last time we drove up, we camped on the backside of Shasta. There are some forest roads back there off the highway that you can pull off and camp. Not entirely sure how they are in the winter.

That’s wild. My brother in law went to college at College of Siskiyou’s and we went to visit him in weed once.

Didn’t get the “we’ll strip yer truck round these parts” feeling

but then again I drove a small sedan at the time so

Dunsmuir has a pretty good brewery. Halfway-ish for you. I’d recommend stopping in regardless.
