I am betting that nearly all vehicles sold will be electric within 10-15 years. The internal combustion engine is on its last legs, and it's not due to anything else than the ridiculously low emissions and high fuel efficiency standards. These two things are killing the IEC.

“This is a futuristic song about a farmer who keeps a Red Barchetta in his barn even after motors are outlawed (Before the Motor Law). The kid comes, takes the car for ride and ends up being chased by Gleaming Alloy Air car (Police is assumed). He outruns and ditches the law and returns to the barn, hides the car and goes to dream with his uncle by the fireside.”

People like me? Assume much?...seems like the only ignorant person here is the one making assumptions about people they know nothing about. Simply calling out you’re ignorant unrelated and uncorrelated statement regarding religion, gun ownership and green energy. But by all means continue to look through your judgemental stereotyping glass, just what we need more of in this world...

But you are with your statement assuming people that own guns or are religious don’t view the world with an open mind or support green energy. Again being ignorant.

    Here is a phycological test:

Store two lawn mowers over a winter. One lawnmower is gas and one is electric. In the springtime put a loaded gun in your mouth. You must pull the trigger if the lawnmower does not start. Then choose between starting the gas or electric mower.

    Works with chainsaws too.

    Real world test:

You have a lawn and garden service. Must pay the mortgage and feed the family. One lawn tractor is gas and cam mow acres per fill up. The other is electric and must be recharged every hour, taking 30 minutes to charge (assuming fast charge technology). I choose the gas model every time.

    Also works with chainsaws.

If you’re seriously suggesting that the GOVERNMENT wants civilians to keep their firearms, wow are you unbelievably incorrect and not well read on the matter. Private ownership of firearms isn’t going anywhere in our lifetimes. Just let that sink in. But why would that bother you? The fact that you’re calling out people you think are ignorant and suggesting they’re “brainwashed” by the media and the government is truly hilarious. You think that someone else’s private possession is somehow offensive to you, your well-being, and is some sort of archaic vestige of the past. While calling out others for following the media’s cues too much, you’ve single-handedly pointed out that you are absent of original thought and are molded by the very media you abhor.

I work in government. I also have a doctorate in Criminology and study crime trends as a career. Violent crime, including ALL firearm related crime, is drastically lower than it was in the 1980s. In fact, the entire US has been following this downward trend since about 1993. “Just look at the dead bodies across the American landscape that can be seen on a daily basis.” The media is over-representing violence in America. Again, your opinion has been molded here, but the facts don’t lie. The country has never been safer in our lifetimes. Furthermore, the utopia you seem to want where guns are no more is inconsistent with the intent of the American experiment that is this country. You might think that government is focused on the greater good and protecting those who need protecting. It’s not. It’s a self-serving machine which WILL chew everyone up and spit them out if left unchecked. I’m sure you’ve heard of our system of checks and balances, right? Well that’s exactly what the 2nd Amendment is... Elected officials work for us, and the 2nd Amendment is and always was focused on maintaining an ability to regain control of a corrupt and tyrannical government. Thus, the 2nd Amendment is a NECESSITY.

So before you try to force feed us your virtue signals which literally have nothing to do with getting away from internal combustion engines, read a damn book.

Who wouldn't want a car to get back and forth to work in on that same old retarded commute every day that you could just plug in at night and that required near zero maintenance? If it was the same cost as nearly every other car on the road it would be a no brainer. Look at fork lifts for example. They are over 60% electric in the US and they literally seem to never break down.

the rubber belts need replaced every few years depending on how often i vacuum. I also don't run a vacuum for hours on end. I have to empty the filter occasionally or it will put undo stress on the electric motor causing it to burn out. Maintenance, like i said.

Well electric golf carts require allot less maintenance than gas and have a longer lifespan if the batteries are replaced. So there’s that.

Chaps are not as effective at stopping an electric chainsaw as they are at stopping a gasoline powered chainsaw.

    I find this very concerning.

Embrace progress and learn until you're blue in the face.

Let everyone else embrace what they are familiar with. That's everyone's god given right - to learn as much, or as little, as they want. That's not ignorance, it's freedom.

That's why the USA is the greatest country in the world :oldglory:

If you don't like it, progress yourself right the hell out of this country, or off of this planet for that matter.

    Toyota Tacoma's are the best.
