Coming from Maryland and others from Kansas, we're mostly looking for some good scenery

Has anyone recommended the cliffs of Casa Bonita yet?

 

I'm about out of hike recommendations unfortunately

 

The only thing I remember about that trip was the manager of the hardware store kicking us out of the parking lot at 8am because there might be a lot of customers

I heard that the place has taken a bit of a dive recently

 

Mid March still has a pretty good chance of seeing snow, so take that into account for anything you learn hear. Hiking at higher elevation (Denver really is the mile high city) is going to get everyone more winded quicker. Take it easy, drink a lot of water. A few places I'd take flatlanders for a day trip.
White Ranch Park Drive up to the upper parking lot, otherwise you'll just be hiking straight up the hill. From the upper parking lot, there are trails with various levels of difficulty, and good views of Denver and the surrounding area.
Lots of trails and loops of various difficulty starting from here, with good views of the city and into the foothills

I recommend yak trax or micro spikes for winter hiking too
