I bought a Thule Xporter online for a couple hundred bucks. I cut the crossbars shorter so that they are the same width of the truck, and I also cut vertical bars down so I can get the tent to sit lower to the roof line. But I can still raise it high enough to be flush with the roof rack if I need to carry longer item, kayaks, etc. Very solid, doesn’t wiggle or move at all.

Did you buy that used? Because I'm seeing it to be an $800+/- rack online. Unless I'm looking in the wrong place lol.

Yup, i got it used. I think I only paid about $200ish for it, and I ordered new hardware and rubbers for it from the Thule website. Works like new.
