    Looks like a good day to do it, 4 degrees feels down right balmy compared to the -13 we had a few days ago, did you pick up the ECGS bushing?

    I got mine in the fall but haven't gotten around to actually doing the job. Just pure laziness on my part. I also have to do all my bushings and one of the camber (maybe more at this point) bolts in the front end.

    Making Progress on the sliders :)

    I have two of these now. Just need to attach them to the frame plates, I'm really hopeful that I can at least bolt them up to the truck this weekend.

    and I have a new welding cart! A little big, but she'll do.

    that's looking sweet :thumbsup:
    once you add them to the mounting plates, depending where you put em and you have the room/ metal for it, you can add in little supports for the tail end where the kick out is like what the cali-raised guys did for their sliders.

    you and I think alike!
    that's exactly what's going to happen :)
    Here's a pic of the slider plates I had cut out.
    OJryqTDNSVWQXyKVy6LbN61GRBFn7ibu5sfXBBna_4350e5e5dff2047a1d0b1df14fa239f0d65a79dc.jpg

    There's two sets. one for me and one for @Canoehead

    my biggest hurdle right now is how long are the legs from the plate to the slider going to be? I'm guesstimating approx 4.5 - 5". angled 20 degrees on the actual slider, not from the frame plate.

    that looks beautiful :D those mounting plates are going to last forever and then some.

    in terms of the angle - not too sure , shallower will be useful as a step up to access stuff on the roof.

    i played around with the idea of making my own sliders, but making/ cutting the mounting plates was the difficult part for me. Was trying to combine Caliraised and Mobtown together and this was the result;
    upload_2020-1-28_11-29-41.jpg

    CNC cutters are not as common as i was once lead to believe. Since i couldn't make the plate, i ended up ordering some from MBRP/ Off Camber fab in Ontario

    Did you make that CAD file?

    that looks really really close to the 1boredclerk files ( there's a thread here on TW, he drew up some CAD files, and that's what I had cut )

    speaking of CNC Plasma, the guys at Metal supermarket have been great to me for CNC Plasma, I've given them stuff that I've designed myself in Fusion 360, and they cut it out no problem. they even fixed up a few of the doubble arc's that fusion put in on the DXF file.

    either way, I found they were great to deal with, easy to work with, willing to talk to us "small guys"

    heck, they even let me back by the machine and watch it cut. I ended up haing round INSIDE the shop the whole time, shooting the breeze! Heck the guy who ran their welder offered to let me try welding aluminum with their spool gun!!

    their metal prices are not the best, but the are open on the weekends, and being a Dartmouth boy, their Burnside location is way too convenient.

    You coming to coffee tomorrow night?

    here is the cutter at Metals Supermarket

    apparently it can do some pretty thick stuff!

    Here's a sheet of "stuff" that I had them cut out for me, this was all my own design from Fusion

    I do have the CAD file for, see it attached.
    the TLDR is here, but it is Boredclerks and simpletons design. added a twist to it by combining both PDFs and added a flange that would need to be clamped with a proper Beam clamp - which is based entirely off of Mobtown's design.

    basically took the best bit of all the pdfs and designs and that's what it spit out.

    but naa, those guys sound cool as heck to go to for CNC cutting, always a good thing when they talk to the guys who need the help the most for one off parts. Might be a prototype for something, who knows!

    and as for coffee;
    I'd have to leave now to make it in time
