Theres a few companies that make USB ports for the blank switch panels. The one I got from caliraised led works great. This is it in a 2nd gen tapped off the fuse panel.

Need to be up on the dash for a short cable. The long cable bugs me.

I did mine to the upper dash recently - similar lookin unit that @Jojee117 used. I got a 12” cord from Amazon and link it to my ram mount on a pillar.

If you put them in the console it’s real clean.

Not when the cable runs across and catches everything. I already have one there.

I already have one of these QC 3.0 / PD 2.0 Type C USB Charger Socket installed in the cigarette outlet spot.

I want it up top and I'll cut it in so I don't have cord dangling around. I have the HondoGarage Clips, but want to get away from that and clean it up.
Then just leave that outlet open.

I guess I'd have to go this route and set it up on my aux panel whenever I get around to installing it.

Got it. Wasn’t sure where you stow the phone. Sounds like any of the dash mount ports/ either usb specific or generic power port is the right way to go.

Here’s a photo of my phone mount and charging cord. The cord has since been moved to the corner where the dash, pillar, and windshield meet. I tapped into either the 15 amp ignition fuse or the 7.5 amp gauge fuse. But the fuse that goes to the dual USB port is a 3 amp. Don’t take my word 100% as I’m no electrician but I did run it my my fried who is.

hey @JeffsJeep04 I bought one of these too (the larger one that fits to the left of the steering wheel), have you noticed it has some give when plugging in a usb plug? hard to describe what I mean but not a totally solid plug in and plug out feel (maybe it's slightly loose) even though it fits flush in the provided blank spot. just curious.

there’s a little wiggle, but I noticed it when unplugging. Was solid plugging in. Almost seemed like the whole thing wanted to pull back out with the usb.
