It will never be the same after sustaining a hit like that. Repairable? Yes. But again. It will never be the same as before it was hit.

The frame on my old 2000 looked like a pretzel after an accident and they repaired it, probably depends on the insurance company.

Update: Took my truck to a collision center in San Antonio and they did an estimate on repairs. At first look, they estimated about $3000 in damage, but said that they'll have to send it to a mechanic shop to examine the rear drive and suspension. Obviously if there is damage, the price will go up.

I got them to agree to use genuine OEM parts and show me invoices as well as show me mechanics report before they proceed. I also got them to agree to replace both rear wheels (both were damaged in the collision) as well as give me the blown tire in the picture for my spare. It was just rolled off the rim and the bead was broken, but appears to be in good shape. Told her I didn't want to chance the safety and she agreed to replace it. They'll replace the original tire with a new one. (they were only 6 months old, but my spare was OEM and a bit smaller, so this will give me a matching spare as well).

I'll keep you updated as I get more info.

Little while back I was at a local food store. Going in there was a little old lady, looked like a 85 YO to me. Regardless, she was trying to back out of her parking space; a V turn would have worked for most people. Watching she was doing more of a WW turn. I stopped because she was between me and the store, not to laugh at her, (but I was amused). She was backing out 10 feet then pulling up (leaving 10+ feet behind her), going really slow. I decide to help and wave her back. She sees me, smiles, waves, and jams on the accelerator. I‘m going STOP!!! She got out of her parking spot, and didn’t hit anything. I’m not going to be so helpful for awhile. I believe the OP when he’s says the neighbors kid was standing on the gas.
