I drilled 4 holes and zip tied to the front of the seat adjustment lever so that it stands vertical and accessible. Steel cable anchor prevents theft.

I have a center console safe I use. Typically keep a Masada in it, doesn’t really fit anything bigger.

 

Pic and link? I really would like to find a digital one for use center.

 

Only two I know of are the tuffy with a key(I had and don’t like because only the top is covered sides are not) and the locker down which is a box so all sides are covered with a combo lock. That said my brother in law uses a hornady car safe and he likes it a lot, seems to work well and that’s digital with a rfid tab. Dumb fool has a p10c in there, good choice of a safe, poor choice of a pistol.

 

I rigged up a bit of a "puzzle box" with an old .50cal ammo can behind the back seat in my double cab. It'll fit my Glock 40MOS, chest holster, ammo, extra mags, binoculars, and my knife. I don't leave stuff in it long though. It's mainly for a little security if I have to stop somewhere on my way to or from the woods.

 

They have a metal cased electronic lock as an option.

I’ve got a Lockerdown, found a new one half off from a private seller on eBay. It’s all metal, heavy and works great. Has the 4 digit tumble lock.

For the OP, it fits a .45 with 5” barrel with quite a bit of room left.

 

My holster and my trigger finger. Pistol does not leave my side when carrying. Anything else in the truck can be replaced.

 

Ever go to a bank or post office?

 

The ONLY time that I leave a handgun in the truck is when I go in somewhere that I'm prohibited to carry. Those times, my handgun is locked in a 30 cal ammo can.

 

I don't know about Nebraska, but in SC, concealed is concealed.

That being said, what are some options for a gen 1? I have no console. Only an armrest.

It’s called concealed for a reason and after 20 years of carrying I have yet to have someone point out I have a pistol on me.

 

Not to knock your set up it’s looks pretty secure but it also screams that I have something valuable please break my window to see. If I needed something id go with a center console vault hidden so can’t be seen unless already in the truck.

 

It can't be seen through the tinted windows.

Besides, it's usually under the jump seat.
