I’m running them. 285/75/17 Cooper ST Maxx rated E. I haul a lot with a trailer so I need me some E. Truck drives fine. The bumps are better at speed. When I go off road I just air down. I have onboard air so it’s no big whoop at all.

I couldn’t tell you a thing about gas mileage. I run 5.29s, power commander, and a lead foot.

When offroad I run 235-85 r16 Falken Wildpeak MT01 which are E rated on 6112/5160 and Icon RTX leafs at ~30psi and it rides very nice.

I run the stock Goodyear's on the road with the same suspension and it rides even better!

I don’t love them, but I know what I’m missing. I use them so I don’t have to own two trucks anymore.

do they do the job? Yup.

Towing is a great reason to have E rated tires. All depends on your needs.

Truck looks good. Whatcha mean "at speed?" We talking highway it rides better than 35 mph city or what?

Edit: @stealthmode Accidentally quoted your post.

Was hoping yo hear about E rated on road with that suspension lol. I see you like the Bilstein combo on road as well, though.

I have actually put quite a bit of thought into a second set of wheels for towing duty. I’m a bit lazy about stuff like swapping tires so I could imagine I would just say fuck it for a short run. With my luck I’d ended up on the side of the road with a flat. It’s my laziness that runs those E tires.

they do tend to last quite a bit longer though. Max’s are nice and quiet too.

with the 6112s the faster you hit the bumps/washboard the softer they ride. If you’re going slow and hit a pot hole it’s a Big Bang.

Not with P rated :p. I run 6112 by the way.

Edit: It is true though. With digressive valving (6112). The faster you go the smoother it soaks up the bumps.

I had the set up on my 2017 Tacoma OR and didn’t have any issues. I am current running a LT285/75R16 KM3 load range E but I upgraded my suspension to king 2.5 extended travel with adjusters but I actually prefer the ride quality of the Bilstein 6112/5160.

I truly love my 6112. They are a fantastic set up on and off road.

Haha we were talking about the geolanders the other day. I have experience with these on a land.cruiser 79 series and they were great

I actually drive these tires on road a fair amount on my way to trails. Over Christmas I but 600 miles on them, most of that on highway. They are noisy but I have not found the ride to be harsh.

slow is 45 in a school zone. Kids and all. Hit one of them at 35-40 and you’re gunna feel it. 70+ and you’ll need to review the tape to see what the cop is going on about.

in all seriousness. A pothole at 25 is much harder than one at 50. They are the opposite of progressive suspension like Fox or King’s.

If you can run a P you’ll enjoy the ride better. If you need to run an E then you’ll get other benefits but the best ride quality for your money won’t be one of them.
