I have maybe the first 5 series, then just sporadic ones here and there that we like. You have them all, right?

Noice. My wife has been building her Saturn V with my 4 yo boy and they've been thoroughly enjoying it. I've been hands off, it's mommy's. Engines are surprisingly intricate!

She's headed out for a girl's weekend, so I think I'll crack open the Aston with him then.

    Another day, another set built.

I did start in on a bagged set from Bricks and Minifigs in Anaheim (Mars Mission 7697)... I got halfway through and so many pieces were missing that there was no way to continue the build even with what extras I had at the house. It was a big bummer. However, I called the store and told them about the situation. They said I can come down Saturday and build in-store using pieces from the bulk bins and pre-sorted. Talk about customer service. We shall see come this weekend how it turns out.

Apparently it’s national LEGO day today. Who comes up with these things?

Here are the builds I did today. Little disappointed though that the kits came without a few parts. However, Lego is on it and sending out the replacements.

    Just the basics
I've had that happen too but not often. Lego is great about sending replacements.

Normally I would say the same, but this is the 3rd time this week. With some of them, I was able to sub parts from my extra pieces collected over time. However, some parts are specific in special color or shape. Oh Well.

On the flip side, it’s amazing how many times they get it right. Especially with the increasing complexity of some of the kits.

I had a missing piece from a Brinkmania kit. They were equally responsive. I haven’t had anything missing from a Lego kit.

Just curious how Lego has you identify the part? For Brickmania, I took a pic of the instruction page (w pg #), circled the piece then emailed it on to them. Had the piece in a couple of days.

You go into the site, go to missing bricks, look up your kit number, and look at the individual parts listed (by number and picture for reference), select a quantity for each, put them into your cart, and done.

They generally do a fantastic job, but it does happen especially with such tiny parts.
