idk about 17.5.. I'd have to sit and ride it for a minute. I think i'm in the 18.5 - 19.5 range.

why do they use .5" ranges?

    I’m 5’10” on a 19” frame and could use smaller. Probably 18”.

    i'm 5'11" or 5'10.5" lol

It would possibly work, but then again it may be one of those things that i don't realize how good the fit of a bigger bike would be unless that size is obviously bad fit for me.. lol
you don't know what you're missing till you try it.

That's what I'm thinking.. 18, 18.5, or L depending on what brand would probably make best fit for me.

I haven't looked into MTB in a while, got tired of looking. I did just today sell my KTM sooooooo

yeah at $100 for any bike that didn't come from Walmart is so cheap that it's worth picking up as a backup or a spare for if you want to bring a friend even if the bike was an odd fit for you.

I personally loved it, and though I don't have much experience in many places....I know you've been to Monte Sano and I would choose Oak Mtn over Monte Sano any day.

mainly for less rocks, and more flow trails. plus the facilities since it's so well maintained are really really nice. monte sano is more like a mountain they happened to put trails on, and Oak mtn is more like they PLANNED for the trails and setup.

well monte sano is a state park as well, but like I said it's more like bike trails were just an addition that happened rather than a plan from the beginning.

Monte Sano has beginner and expert trails with lack of intermediate imo. Oak Mtn has a solid mix of all of them, but the expert (like lightning) aren't covered in so many rocks and roots that you die if you go as a beginner.

Ha! No man just wondering about how it handles the rain. These dang Southeast winters are tough to fit in anything but road rides. Sounds like a valid option for a winter weekend trip

    Hey gents,
The trails on Redstone Arsenal are officially opening on FEB 1st! If you do not have base access I'm sure some of the members would be more than willing to sponsor a few folks on. I love these trails and I hope you guys get to enjoy them. Good mixture of beginner to intermediate trails. I'd be going but I live in Colorado now, poor me. lol

    Cheers
