You can't run a coffee maker.

    Nothing else matters.

    100 Watts / 120 Volts = 0.833 amps
    400 Watts / 120 Volts = 3.333 amps

Read the sticker on any and all devices to see what the voltage and current draw is in amps and as long as you fall under what is stated above, you should be good.

Stick to petrol power for that.

The drill test was stupid. Sure it can spin the drill when you aren't actually drilling anything because the current draw is pretty low just to spin the chuck. But you are gonna trip the breaker as soon as you try to use the full functionality of the drill. It's probably an 8 amp drill. So it easily is capable of at least 1000 watts.

Edit: probably the same with the jig saw.

Good grief. He also didn't checked if the waffle iron or toaster actually got to full temp. This test sucks.

But it’s on YouTube, click to subscribe...

I tried to watch it but it was affecting my mood and I had to stop

Be a lot better if he had an ammeter to measure the amp draw and actually used the devices under load.

The video felt hurried like he was in a rush. It made me anxious. A couple minutes in I was like "Oh no, I really hope the waffle maker works or we'll have all this left over waffle batter." Then he didn't even tell us if it warmed up to full temp. No I'm still anxious that he wasted all the waffles.

At 3 Amps, sort of makes you wonder what Toyota wanted you to use it for.

I ran a rotary hammer with 75' of extension cable at a job site. It started up a bit slow, but got the job done.

I also ran a chop saw once... luckily I was only cutting some thin wood door trim. Still tripped the breaker once.

No wife, and I wouldn't be caught dead in a Prius. No need to be a douche bag if you're really also in NC. I would expect that from someone in CA.

I drink cold filtered coffee straight out of the jug so don't care about that sissy stuff. I'll have a cooler of cold beer, a Weber grill, and some food.

In a tailgating situation I'd be happy if it could power a 20" LED TV with a $20 antennae which draws no power. If I need more power than that I will throw a Honda generator in the back. I'm not trying to survive on the damn thing.

What's wrong with a Prius? They're very mechanically reliable vehicles, and survive a hell of an impact. My only issue with them is that they're too low to the ground.
