9 year old and new born fit fine (with new born in the middle). I’m 6’1. I was worried a lot but it’s not an issue for us. Yea it’s not spacious but it’s all relative. We aren’t cramped.

Thank goodness my kids are adults and have their own families!

While in Utah last month, I had my 16yrold grandson in the back (he's probably 5'9" or so), he fit fine.

But I do think taller ones will have problems!:smack:

Your better off not having kids in a taco, don't taste right.

My 2.5 y/o sits in a Diono Raiden 3R placed in the middle rear seat. Enough room on both sides for other passengers

5 yr and 3 yr old in back. I'm 6'3 and wifey is 5'4. I keep the seat one notch from the furthest back when my daughter is behind me. Not a lot of room back there but they fit and they're comfortable. Not like they're doing jumping jacks or anything back there anyways. I sat in a couple Tundras and they're just so frigin huge. Don't know if I'll go down that road. I'm always on the hunt for a nice 1st gen DC Tundy though.

It’s a little tight for us, especially with a rear facing infant seat. Wife doesn’t mind being cramped, but I’m considering switching to a Tundra Crewmax.

I’d sell my kids waaaayyyy before I’d sell my Tacoma, without hesitation. Shit, I’d even give the kids away.

Kids start out small. Them kicking the seat has been around since the boats of years past and is a great sign they are not vomiting at the moment (when they do they wretch they curl up.) The comments from "no kids" are just that. I can't imagine not having kids, and as mine have grown I've always driven the carpools and teams and parties and wouldn't trade those magic moments for less dirt, candy or aromatics for a cleaner interior. I drove a bunch of cubscouts in a parade and they decorated my prior truck with duct tape...that was in 2006, the guy I sold it too in '16 still has the residue on parts of it. Those kids are now in college and still hang out out our place over breaks. That truck was an access cab (less space than the Taco) and while there was "just enough" room for car seats, then boosters and the teen-age growth spurts, the kids never cared.

Thats what I said! Where do their legs go?? Most of my friends said that they changed their kids to forward facing at 2 years and thats probably what we will do. We did pick up a Nuna car seat which fits much better in the truck but it was like $600.00 Truck is still going bye bye though. There is a GX460 or Land Cruiser in our very near future.

Our son is in a Britix B35 rear facing car seat back right. The front passenger seat has ~6-7” (just measured, 14” with seat all the way back) from the seat cushion to the glove box.. :/ My wife at 5’3” fits just barely. Anyone larger is very uncomfortable or doesn’t fit. We have more room in our VW Golf. It really sucks because we can’t take any other adult in the front seat.

We have another kiddo on the way. What rear facing car seats are you guys using that work with the small back seat? Middle seat won’t work as both driver and pax seat must be moved forward I really don’t want to sell the Tacoma but no sense in keeping it if we can’t take it on trips.
