Hey guys, been creeping the thread for a while but never got around to posting. Put my deposit down on a VO Drifter back in September! Looking forward to the trip down from Canada to pick it up!

I don’t know if we’ll be that far east. We’ll be leaving from Vancouver Island and taking the coast down and will most likely do the WABDR on the way back home. But if we find ourselves out that way I’ll be sure you let you know!

Where on the island do you live?

And what order number are you? I also ordered in September. I roadtrip up to BC a few times a year which is why I ordered mine.

Phil has not sent me a shipping quote yet. The price of having it crated and shipped will dictate whether I will take time off work and drive there or pay for the shipping and install.

Thanks. I have a little bit of a conundrum as I am on the east coast.

Shipping expense is one thing, finding someone local to receive the crate and do an install will be another challenge.

Sweet man. Haven't spent much time in the city there but every time I drive off the ferry I know I'm in for a treat. That island is something else.

Just added the Drifter to my Allstate policy: $3.33 per month!

If only my kids $2000 Honda Pilot with 250k miles was that cheap.

That is the cheapest insurance I have purchased.

I also bought insurance prior to picking it up. I forgot to mention to Vagabond.
@Overlanerd do you maintain serial numbers for the Drifters? I wasn't able to locate one and we put in a fictitious one.

they do. send Phil a message and he'll get it out to you. I had to get my serial to get it added to my state farm policy. I want to say the extra coverage for the drifter was ~$20/6 months.

Just reach out to your insurance agent, let them know you want to add the drifter to your policy, and after some back and forth (with them asking questions about the camper, cost, serial #, etc), they should just update your policy to include the camper.

Thanks for the info! I have the insurance already, bought it prior to pickup. Included the Drifter, awnings, road shower that were to be installed. Anything installed after the fact covered by my homeowner policy. I'll follow up with Phil and get the info to my agent.

I just took a copy of the invoice to my Allstate rep. It was a painless 5 min process.
