    Hello everyone,

I'm in the market to buy a cover for my truck bed. I've really come to like the price point a features of the Bakflip MX4 cover. For those who have purchased this cover, what is the best deal I can expect to get? Do you think there will be Black Friday sales for this item?

    Truck:
    2019 TRD OR short bed

Amazon: $950 to $999.88 (free shipping)
    https://www.amazon.com/BAK-Industries-BAKFlip-Folding-448426/dp/B071JQDXFD/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2LCGV0GBY3YBN&keywords=tacoma+bakflip+mx4&qid=1573243480&sprefix=tacoma+bak%2Caps%2C184&sr=8-3&th=1

Random site I've never heard of: $877.63 (free shipping)
    https://www.discountbandit.com/bak-...MI4PaC26_b5QIVw5yzCh0Y0AJVEAkYASABEgJoevD_BwE

    Thank you!

EDIT: Pricing is about the same for the Fibermax which I may get instead due to recommendations from previous TW threads.

go to the "deals & coupons" forum and ask in the autoanything stickied thread. mike will get back to you pretty quickly with as good of a price as you will probably get.

Check the Amazon Warehouse Deals, people have said they've gotten theirs for $400-$600. Basically a beat up box or someone changed their mind.

Bought mine last year on Amazon during Black Friday. Discount was pretty deep, and ended up purchasing it for $779. Depending on where you and seller are located there is a good chance you wont have to pay for sales tax. In total I saved over $400 plus free 2 day shipping.

Honestly you should wait, if Amazon has it around $800 don't hesitate.

Just a heads up you may want to check out the f1 bakflip it's similar to mx4 but made with composite panels instead of aluminum and is more scratch and dent resistant.

Not Amazon, they've figured out that with a lot of people it becomes the default place to shop, and will put it where it hurts.

Any downsides on the composite vs aluminum? I just wondering why the MX4 is the most popular. Do you know what the other differences are?

No downsides so far for me, but to be fair I've only had the F1 for about 8 months. Still looks brand new. It was also important to me for the cover to be able to be shut with the tailgate up or down, not just with the tailgate down. Not sure if the MX4 has that type seal or not. Also I was afraid of dents and scratches in the aluminum, so it seemed worth it to spend the extra c-note and get the F1. I would guess the MX4 is more popular simply because it's cheaper and I can't fault anyone for that line of thinking. Bakflips are really expensive.

Thanks for the info. It's interesting that their website only shows a $10 difference. https://bakindustries.com/hard-folding-covers/2019/toyota/tacoma . Where did you get yours? Did you install it yourself?

On the bakflip website the comparison chart has the aluminum having a higher UV rating.
I really want the F1 but play in the desert, dunno F1, MX4 or undercover ultra all really nice.

I bought it from Autoanything, and there is a member on here who works for them and can get you a price quote that will save significant $$ if you pm him. Installed by myself and it was super easy and there are several youtube videos that show the process.

I've never looked into the Undercover Ultra. Thanks for the suggestion. What do you like about it compared to the others? It looks like it comes with lighting?

Good to know, lots of sunny days here.
The big difference between the two are the rail mounts, bakflip relocates, undercover mounts to the acc rails so they are covered.
Also the bakflip for my 6’ bed is 4 sections nd I think the undercover is 3

The Bakflip folds all the way up against the rear window as well. Not sure about the undercover doing this or if it's even something that concerns you.
