Nebraska DOT uses salt brine and geomelt (beet juice), as well as rock salt and/or gravel. If it weren't for my fear of my 20 year old metal turning into dust, I'd be riding.

I believe WA uses salt brine and magnesium chloride for its liquid deicing agent.

The ZRX1100 is basically the detuned 'standard' version of the ZX11 which was the fastest production bike until it was dethroned by the Blackbird.

Just going to throw this out there and open I get a bite. Looking for a head for a 2009 yz450f, there are a couple years that will fit. If you have one or know of one shoot me a message. Dropped a valve and messed the head up pretty bad.

I think he did a ZX11 head and cam swap. Plus he has a bunch of titanium parts to save 0.0005 oz

definitely not a direct bolt on. Had to drill new holes, metal work some of the old mounting points including plug weld them shut and smooth the metal out and get everything lined up for the stock seat height to remain the same. Just need to splice in a new taillight.

Those are nice but not my style for this build. Growing up in East LA, I really should be riding a low rider style bike but it’s just not my jam. I like the sportier looking v-twins. Taller suspension, better handling, stripped down of the flashy stuff. Just a faster bike all around.

that’s probably not goin to happen honestly. The biggest draw for me was the aesthetics and as you can see I’m mostly there on the street bob. I never felt like my riding style was limited by the current bike’s performance so the upgraded suspension and bigger motor are a bonus but would be lost on me. I may reconsider later on but even then I’d probably end up doing the same to the Low Rider that I’m doing to this one.

So, I just requested a day off for next Monday because the weather forecast looks promising. As long as it holds out, I will get my little Ninja out of hibernation and blast it around for a while. It will also be the perfect opportunity to do some low-speed practice exercises in my local church parking lot, as it would be totally empty on a weekday.
    upload_2020-1-30_8-19-50.jpg

That is a beautiful bike.
It would be seriously advanced for me at my current skill level, but I hope to own a CBR at some point within the next five years, especially in that livery/color scheme.
    Awesome bike!
