Nice storm rolled through the valley. It started in the morning and was on and off till about 8pm. The highway turned into a iceway with a nice layer of snow on top. 0117200756.jpg 0117201812.jpg 0117201812b.jpg

I also converted to a later model wiper stick with an intermittent setting.
Easy bolt on swap all the controls are contained within the stalk itself. So you just undo the collum cover and pull the old stick out and slap the new one in and cover it back up.

What year did they introduce that stalk with different intermittent speeds? My 2000 came with it from the factory and I always thought they introduced it when Toyota did the 98 refresh.

I think it did come in the 1998 refresh, however having a low trim level single cab, I don't have the same options as a Sr5 of Mid range models. Which is why I am missing a clock as well. I have no idea what trim level my truck is at all, is has A/C, Bucket Seats, a Chrome appearance group, and alloy wheels, but no clock and intermittent wipers.

Toyota did some weird things with the trim packages on these trucks, they don't make much sense haha. I have a fairly loaded SR5, but I don't have a clock either or power mirrors, but I do have the intermittent wipers.

The speed adjustable intermittent wipers are a nice thing to have though, glad to hear it's easy to add for those who's truck didn't come with them.

Yup I just ordered the stalk off ebay and it just bolts right in. All the controls and circuits are contained on the stalk its self.

Got these today, stoked to see the performance in the snow.

I also mocked up my blue sea fuse box I want it as close to the battery as possible to make moving all my accessories easier.

I have a picture of the fuse box lid that I am going to laminate and stick in the owners manual in case I ever need it.

Got my new lights on last Friday, these lights are insanely bright. I drilled a couple of hole in the front lip of the ARB bumper so they sat flush with the front edge to get the full spread. As well as got a couple of switch covers for some blue sea rocker switches to fit the Paranoid fab switch holder.

That's my plan, I wanted something for during a snow or dust that I can be able to see compared to the bright white of a standard LED.
But even tho we normally get snow every few days, we haven't gotten any at night since I put these on. :annoyed:

I did go snow wheeling over the weekend with a bunch of locals, it was the worst possible snow conditions, thick compact layers on top to break through, follow by 2-5 feet thick drifts of ice crystals that won't pack down, during it we managed to break a front Dana 60 axle shaft and blow up a Toyota 3.4, but survived without issues and only getting stuck a few times since I went last and took some by-passes.
    IMG_5515.jpg IMG_5516.jpg 0126201458.jpg
This was the only way through most of these drifts. 42s and a lot of Throttle.

Overall it was an awesome day out, even if it was full of getting stuck and having some broken parts it's was a beautiful day out playing in beautiful country.
