I photoshopped this exact idea for my truck last year... it looks awesome.! I'm glad it worked out for you. Any tips for a smoother install now that you are done?

Quick question on bed hooks. :crapstorm: What is the thread size/pitch of those screws/bolts? Have the hooks, that someone had pulled while removing the bed liner out of the bed that I purchased here in Florida. Just need to pick some up at Home Depot.

You can try the local toyota, it's pretty cheap online.

On our 89 with the 22re we bought a throttle body gasket from the parts house and it had a extra little ear cut out and it leaked.

I want to say it's 1.5, but if you remind me later tonight I can get it for you.

Edit had a set of gages in the truck for some reason, it's 1.25

    Not on mine

    Edit:
You may be right. For some reason I thought I pulled a flat square gasket with two holes for bolts off. Maybe I'm just hallucinating. Would explain why I can't find it around anywhere...

The name on that is misleading. It goes between the air box and the tube the sensor is mounted on. I need the one between the MAF and tube.

So the one under the sensor? It's just an o-ring I thought.

I did the same thing, cause that's what I read on the internet. Got home and realized it was a no go. So maybe they used both. I just said screw it and taped again, works just fine. Someday I'll fix it good n proper, but I've got to figure out something other than aluminum, it gets too hot and to cold.

Nice! Now that you mention it. I happen to have a piece of drop sitting in my cart, it's the perfect size as well.

DONT USE A SAW ZAW!! Lol dam thing is too violent, broke some of the tabs.
Take your time, and use the correct tools, I recommend a dremel, its has many attachment options that will work for this project.
When you cut the 1st gen grill just cut out the grill and leave the "rim" so you'll have a dish like look when your done.
For the pro grill if I did it again I would concentrate on fitting the center piece evenly on to the 1st gen grill because the outside of the pro grill won't be sitting inside of the rim of the 1st gen grill unless you like it like that. Doing it like that will give it a deep dish look, which i liked more.
And use 5min epoxy, hot glue doesnt work..lol almost had to make a 2nd grill.

Take your time and measure twice.

Let me know if I can be of any help

It's just an o-ring that you want right? Or do you want the weird square 4 bolt one for the 4 banger maf tube to airbox

Nice! I work for a job shop, what I'm building depends on the day and hour.

I can't/don't want to say publicly. But a super awesome one. Don't mind saying in pm though.

I used to work job shops, mostly fabrication, we did some pretty cool stuff. It keeps you on your toes, and always thinking/learning. But there's times when you just wanna go on autopilot.

And benefits and job security are nice.

Toyota only sells the complete arm with the bushing

A lot of people go whiteline, do they really not sell just the bushing?
