Yea, I wish I knew better. Unfortunately I am my own worst enemy, unlucky and clumsy as hell. The first thing I did when I bought the new one was to buy touch up paint. I used it again the other day when I opened the door into the Kubota FEL arm. Luckily it only took the paint off the door edge and didn't contact the skin. I would have been upset. I get a lot of chips in all my vehicles commuting like we do, especially in the winter, and living in the country. It's gonna happen.

I'm saying it looks fucked up but might still be functional.

Start eating as much fiber now as you can. Oh, and anything with that Olestra!!! Lots and lots of beans!!!!!!

This will work out in one of two ways in your favor. Either she will be offended and leave or she will be offended and you get to leave. As a plus, either way, she is offended.

It's definately functional. But for how long on a dusty trail?

I agree, and the same goes for the Tundras in my opinion.
I like the looks of that door-and-a-half thing, but the practicality isn't there for me.

Totally. I've had a single cab, 2 extended cabs and a double cab. The 4 door was ok until I needed a longer bed. I usually didn't need the 4 doors but when I did it was nice. I prefer not to haul a bunch of people, so for me an extended cab is perfect. It's like a single cab but with a ton of storage, leg room and room to recline. The double cab first gen tundras are nice because they have a full-size bed. But I can't imagine trying to wheel one. My AC is already a boat on the trails as is

I use my crewmax for people and cargo, depending on the occasion. I travel with fairly expensive tools a lot of the time and they have to ride up front with me. Here's a shot of my last work work trip, and yes the bed was full too

I think it's funny the first gen double cabs only had a long bed and the newer tundra crew max Max only has short bed. What happened to options?

Right? And then you get the weirdo option of a Tundra with the smaller cab and 8.1 ft bed. Wtf.
Can we meet in the middle somewhere?

Easier to only make one frame size. All the trucks have the same wheelbase. I want a regular cab shortbed, not happening.

Nah that 8 foot bed extra cab is its own frame, it's gotta be
    REG_60918007_AR_0_0.jpg
I believe there's also an 8 foot bed single cab as well as a regular single cab (possibly both discontinued)

Lol I've been in one on some trails, it can get sketchy... But with a lift and tires, it did alright!

Yeah, that long boi has a longer wheelbase than the other Tundras for sure.
Weird that they already have the wheelbase laying around to throw a crewmax with 6-6.5' bed on, they just never did it...

Oddly enough the later tundras have a better steering radius than the 1st gens
