Yea everything I've read so far has just said it doesn't work well. I haven't dug it out yet but it looks basically like a punch yea? I'll give it a shot. Adjust with a spanner before install and try and fine tune it with the tool.

It’s ok. I’ve adjusted mine down with it and adjusted @bot102 up with the tool. the hardest part is around the collar bolt.

I have a kind adjustment probe. Works well imo better than the Toytec spanner wrench. Only problem arises when you try to adjust them while they are on the truck because the resi hose and the coil bucket gets in the way. My 2cents, adjust them 1/4" higher than you want them so when they settle then they will be just right.

Thanks! That's what I was thinking and I'm pretty sure I've got the toytec spanner as that's the coilovers I'm pulling off. In storage.
    ..with all me tools.
The trick is knowing how much thread on my particular setup equals the height I need before putting them on. It seems to vary pretty wildly from application to application. They're the extended travel with 700lb springs. I've got full skids and sliders. I'm hoping it's even on either side too.
The current fronts with 600lb springs I had to preload the driver side more to compensate for the lean. Thinking 10 threads showing? I can always back it down easier than raise it on the truck.

That's more threads than I have showing on my Kings with full skids, bumper, winch and 700# coils with a 3" yield. I had toytec before this with 650# coils and they were cranked to the max so imo their coils are alot softer.

Also, all adjustments (raising or lowering) made while the coils are on the truck will faces the same difficulties because of mirroring and the coil bucket. However, if you are patient and willing to use a hammer to tap-tap-tap-a-roo the collar into position then it wont be a huge deal.

If you want, I can take pics and share tomorrow.

Yea some pics of yours would be great. Just going off some threads on the topic seemed like 10 would be a start but I don't want to Jack them up. Felt like backing it down wouldn't be fighting the tension of the coil itself though so it would spin a little easier.

from my experience, the coil wont fight you unless the threads are really dirty or the coils are super compressed.

if king added 2 more holes to the adjustment collar then the resi hose and coil bucket wouldnt be an issue. I believe its a design flaw on their part and they should really correct it. Not everyone wants to remove the coilovers for a simple, quick adjustment.

FYI that spring seat adjuster is a standard shock part from the race/prerunner line. And with how many parts King re-purposes you won't be getting any specific parts from them. You could drill a new hole where you think ones needs to be, don't go any deeper than what the existing ones are.

But it's really not that big of a deal to adjust on the truck.

With a hammer and marking up the holes a bit, its not a big deal but I still think they should be designing products with all of their consumers in mind. ie redesigning and manufacturing new collars is simple and quick. They are one of the industry leading suspension companies so i whole-heartedly believe they have the capital and man-power to do it but it just isnt in their play book because they are mainly focused on racing and race teams will take the coilovers off to adjust because they have the means.

And i dont have the heart to drill into them... i barely had the heart to mark up the holes to get it around the resi hose... hahaha

Keep in mind i have full bumper, winch, skids, 700# coils. I installed these in November and have put about 5,000 miles on them. They settled abit more than a 1/4" inch and have softened up a noticeable amount. At first they were stiffer than i expected and I was seeking out 650# coils but after they have somewhat broken-in, i am happy with the 700# coils. However, I will probably get them revalved when they need to be serviced.

Lastly.. at this height, my CV boot doesn't touch my lower shock mount when at full-droop.

    Hope this helps!

I know a certain dealer and technician that wouldn't charge for RCI skid plate and install in southwest Denver.
