    I tested and used LPS3 on raw metal surfaces, pre-rusted surfaces, and painted surfaces. It 100% seals moisture out while still allowing the metal to release any moisture previously in the metal. I have seen in both rainy, humid and magnesium chloride salt condtions all of the above surface conditions remained the same as they were the day I coated them with LPS3 I wish I knew about this product years ago it would have saved me tens of thousands of dollars. The one and only negative is LPS3 is extreamly hard to remove and will require an industrial solvant and paint scraper.

    A lot of people love this for their frames and undercarriages apparently. I checked the reviews :D

    If you want something that will prevent rust and won't wash off...Cosmoline. It has been used since the late 1800s. It's that thick waxy stuff you find on military surplus guns. It won't wash off. In fact, it's a bitch to get off. I don't know if it is compatible with rubber and plastic though, I'm guessing not since it's petroleum-based. I also don't know if it will wick either.

    I forget what it is honestly but it's on the Amsoil website.

    As for how long it lasts in splash areas, I don't think I've ever resprayed it during the winter. It seems to hold up throughout. I also don't drive mine in the snow unless I have to. If we get a decently warm day I'll spray the cab mounts again just because my cab mounts are chopped.

    Overall, it holds up really well and I'm happy with how my frame looks. I first wash the underneath really well. Then I paint it flat black and then the Amsoil HDMP. Let it sit a few days.

    The only fun thing to do in Nebraska and Iowa is to drive in the deep sloppy snow before they plow and salt the roads!

    @Shellshock what do you think

    I should give it another shot then
    Pretty sure you are in the near exact climate as I am
    But why two coats a year winter is not that long here!?

    Do you coat body panel spots with ff too?

    Easy to apply and cheap. My buddy cut out the rot on my frame and welded in new metal so its an easy rust prevention especially since I wasn't able to paint the metal on the inside of the frame.

    I hook up my abrasive blaster to my compressor, load in a ton of FF and cover the exterior of the frame. Then I load the inside up at every angle I can until it starts coming out of the drain holes.

    I haven't done anything other than the frame, fuel tank skid plate, and rear axle.

    OME and worth every penny.
    Nah, we painted stuff with it and left it outside at the refineries here on the Gulf Coast. It's salty, humid. Everything rusts here except exotic alloys like Inconel. LPS actually got harder the longer it stayed in the sun.
    I can't guarantee it's still made as well as the '90s.
