If you want to guarantee it won't rub, get the 70's (stock size).

The 75s might rub in places. It's easily fixed, but just keep that in mind.

It kinda did. RTTs weren't expensive enough, so everyone's into those clam shell ones, or even better the flippacs.

Rolling mass is more of a drag on the system than static mass, as it must be accelerated both in a linear direction, in line with the trucks direction, and in rotation. This is why race cars etc concentrate so much effort into lightweight wheels, brakes, tires etc.

Anyways....... there is no scientific way to quantify TW, so it’s really pointless.

I’m running 33x12.5 and while I’m sure there was a dip in performance and mileage it’s nothing close to the sacrifice I made with my Jeep on the same size, I couldn’t even run with the overdrive on it would constantly search back and forth.

I'm a first gen guy, so take this with a grain of salt, lol. It's usually just minor trimming of the fenderwell.

For me, however, and I have heard this from 3rd genners, too, is that my tires rubbed the frame at full turn. Even after a 1" left, they still rubbed a little. It wasn't until I got total chaos UCAs that the geometry changed enough that the tires didn't rub.

Here's a pic of where mine rubbed:

Rusty bit was stock height. Clean bit is 1" lift.

Different wheel offset or spacers would cure that

Mine wasn't the only solution, just the one that worked for me.

Spacers would fix the problem, but potentially create others, like pushing the wheels out far enough to rub the fenders. Plus I hate spacers.

Bottom line is to choose your tires, and work out from there. Best to choose a wheel with a proper offset, rather than spacers. I'm still running stock SR5 wheels, and didn't see a need to get new wheels, and was doing the suspension mods anyway. THe UCAs I got weren't even to reduce rubbing, but to accommodate my mid travel Kings. The not rubbing was just an added bonus, lol

You can quantify it, you just have to control your variables. Most people in this thread have only noticed about a 1+/- mpg difference with the tires, though. In other words, you can save more MPGs by slowing down 5mph and being lighter on the gas pedal.

What the fuck? No. I'm not even sure how that's possible.
