    Nice.

    The riding position is good.
You can crouch or ride pretty much upright.
I see guys on sporties crouched over the gas tank and think, oh my aching back.
They look like monkeys humping a football. :p

    Here's mine.
I put the dorky looking wind deflector on because it's too tiring any more to have the wind beating on my chest.
    Didn't want a full shield.

    P1010001.jpg

[EDIT] You could probably smoke me with that little sportie. :p
Kawasaki propaganda says it's got ~26 HP, mine is ~43 HP, and it's a lot heavier.

    Awesome! So clean!

I came this close to getting a Rebel 250 or a TU250x as my first bike. I found a smokin' deal on that little Ninja and went for it, but I would absolutely consider a cruiser in the near future.

It's funny to think that this $1,000 13-year-old Ninja 250 would pace my Mustang GT from 0-60, and possibly even outrun it.
I laugh whenever I think about that. You gotta love the efficiency and power-to-weight ratio of these things.

    I think you did fine.
Kawasaki makes solid bikes with no nasty handling surprises.
Mine has been more reliable than any other bike I've had.

Had to edit the horsepower figures above.
    You'd still possibly out-accelerate me.

Yeah, it's amazing the horsepower they deliver.
Very agile and fun around town or short trips.

A V-twin cruiser has its advantages though.
A lot less horsepower for displacement...but more low-rev torque.
That means you can loaf along without constantly changing gears when you slow down or speed up a little.
The extra weight means more stability and the wind doesn't push you around near as much.
You're a lot less tired after a long ride.

    Have fun and be safe.
Keep the rubber on the road.
That's what the downward V signal means with the first two fingers.
You'll be getting those from other riders.

Ah HA! So that's what that means, lol.
I have been getting that and I didn't know what to do at first. When I was on my first few rides, I was too terrified to take my fingers away from the clutch so I didn't so anything at all (sorry fellas, wasn't ignoring you). On my last few trips, I got the signal from a few riders and I just raised my left hand like a dork and waved.

Now I know what to do.

I listen to a lot of channels, 37 included. I don’t keep one station on. If a song comes on that doesn’t cut it, I change until I find one that does. I like hard rock, just not every hard rock song.

    How’d your apt go?
last summer we were coming into the dock after being out on the river all day. There was a boat that was sinking near the dock. Come to find out a family of 832 people were on this little boat. They hit some rocks in the shallow end. They were Amish. I’m sure it was Deans family. @My Name is Rahl
    Of course it does!

We were out on the river last year. I was driving, hubbs was skiing. He said I was going too fast (I didn’t look at speedometer) no one was out and he wanted the speed. After he was done he said he’ll never do that again.
