I'd be pretty bummed if I bent a tie rod. I should probably carry a spare because it's cheap and packs small, and can really ruin a day.

Yea they cheep but also anytime I replace a part I hold onto the old one as long as it’s not fubar. A woah’d out trail spare is better then no spare. I know have new spare hubs but I held onto my old ones for a while cuz they weren’t gernaded.

You do a lot of free advertising for mobclowns, tell them to pay up and stock you up with some supplies, though they probably don’t even know what a tie rod is:bananadead:

Thanks! I always think things through before I spend the time or money on making it happen. I honestly can't think of anything off the top of my head that I didn't buy / install that I currently use, or has been replaced due to wearing out lol

Thanks man! I'd love some SCS wheels, but being on a budget as always I had to snag these when they showed up. I have some plans for them yet :)

So I noticed that the new wheels had a different offset / backspacing and that kinda bothered me.

i was thinking about snagging some .75” bora spacers, but I knew that my wheels would need little “pockets” for the hub bolts to go into.

I couldn’t remember what they looked like, so I took a wheel a wheel off only to find out that they wouldn’t work.

    No pockets

So since I had one off I decided the throw on one spidertrax spacer to see how it’d look

No spacer side (not settled spring)

needless to say it looks way better so they’re staying

I just got it 2 weeks ago. It rides around the block just fine, but not dirt time on this bike yet. I did demo an identical one in Bellingham last fall though.

As far as the color goes, the orange is all fanatik bike co graphics and my steady hands. No doubt which college I went to!

I think that's what killed mine this winter lol

I noticed the back end started getting bouncy, and at first I thought it was the weight of the full gas can on the swingout, but i'm pretty sure this is why.

for $206 you can't go wrong

Is that what died, a b110? That’s why I left my boots on. Iirc on shocks with an exposed shaft there’s an extra seal designed to clean dirt and stuff off the shaft as the shock compresses. So taking the boots off and exposing to mud and salt es no bueno. Not definitively saying that’s what caused it but maybe

Wiper seals are a god send. If the 110s do indeed lack the wiper seal, the internals may look the same as that corrosive material would potentially be allowed to ingress to the internal bits as well.

The boots tore off after like a month of being mounted. I don’t know how anyone got theirs to stay on lol

Before I installed mine I warmed them up with my wifes hair dryer and kinda massaged them so they took a normal form. Then used hose clamps to hold them to the body. Worth a shot at least, mine lasted like this as long as I owned them. And they saw some flex lol
