It's going to be a good game in any case. You've finally found someone other than an ex-niner to run your offense so congratulations on that. Could be that's been the problem for so much of the time. Deberg always impressed me with his courage in the pocket and it was hard to see Joe go but it was Young's time to shine and those windows are brief. Alex is a stand up guy and great at crossing routes but almost always missed(at least wearing red/gold) on wide open deep routes plus we never had an O-line to give him a chance. I can't say as I blame NE for keeping Brady and letting Jimmy go, Joe had both back and elbow issues that put his career in more doubt than age alone would, but he still had it and I believe Tom does too. As for Bono and Grbac, they were decent enough but not compared to Joe and Steve and the teams around them weren't the same. Having seen enough of below average since then maybe we are a bit oversold on Jimmy but it feels alot different with him in the game than it has in decades. The last loss to the Falcons probably doesn't happen if Kittle doesn't drop a 3rd down pass that hits him in the #s but JG would never say so. Mahomes is special, no doubt, but then so were Marino and Elway. Different times and different teams, but I'm still favoring the team with a more versatile offense and a better defense and a QB that seems to have whatever it is. I haven't been caught up in the numbers so much as in how he reacts to adversity as I expected some rust and poor play coming off the ACL injury. But whether he was the cause or something else was, his performance rose to the level of necessity to win so he hasn't acquired the fantasy stats others seem to need to rate performance, just the highest 3rd down conversion %, the #1 seed and a 15-3 record. All season long it's been a story of the Niners are great but will Jimmy hold them back and yet here we are. Our secret weapon has been hiding in plain sight all year long, only it was never a secret, just too easy to overlook or discredit when the team around him is so good.

Kyle isn't lying or putting a good face on it to support his QB, that's a narrative put out by those velcroed to a story line. He's telling the truth just like he always does and the beauty of it is they still won't believe it.

I'm sure every team has fans that act poorly, doesn't make it right of course

Should be real close. Two good teams with good offenses and defenses, biggest game of the year. Hopefully they both show up to play and it’s not a blowout.

I want a high scoring game, may it be a blow out or a tight contest, I want a high scoring game

I hate the current NFL OT rules, however I love games that go into OT, let all the fans get our moneys worth!!!

Agreed, more evenly matched Superbowl in a long time.

I don't expect a blowout from either side.
