I didn't forget, I said V8 above. The small block platform was tired and they knew it. Those V6s were pretty damn impressive, but they couldn't put them in the flagship, so for a few years the C4 was the saddest flagship to have existed being bested in power by every other offering including their own. Every cult car has its black sheep. I looked into buying a C4 as a project, I knew it was the cheap crap of the Corvette lineup but I wanted an easy LS swap (not a chance id put money in a small block to make stock LS power haha)

    Funny you say that, cause I've owned 1 C3, about 7 or 8 different C5's, own a C5Z (had 2-3 total C5's), and 2 C6's.

I still have my C4, not to mention having sold my C6 a few months ago.

The C4 is my personal favorite; feel like you sit ON a C6, but you sit IN a C4. The way the car feels wrapped around the driver.

Could be that or the fact that my 350 is anything but stock; yes I paid to get it built but it's a 383 stroker with a performabilt transmission and 3200 yank stall.

I haven't been in a C6, C4 was the last one I considered owning. The C8 is the only one that's really interested me at all as you can tell by me not owning a C4 despite them being more than affordable for all years. I could tell GM was getting serious again with the C7, it was almost a super car, but it wasn't enough. The C8 is a true departure from the Corvettes old man mid life crisis heritage, it is serious. I mean this in the nicest way possible BTW, just one man's opinion doesn't mean one that's been modded or customized for another's enjoyment can't be cool. When the Z became my choice it was simple calculus, that engine easily handles 800hp and requires minimum effort other than cams and some computery stuff to get there. Plus turbos are always a bonus. The small block would have set me back further from my modest goal of 500hp despite starting closer to it. I'll take a 300hp turbo vehicle over an all motor 500hp vehicle any day though. They're just more fun to me.
