    That’s perfect! The 96 was a great motor but it was designed for the 5 speed transmission and they didn’t make that combination. The 103 and 6 speed combo has all the shift points in the right place to move! I see it’s got mid mounts, look at some highway pegs of you plan on longer rides. They bolt in where forward controls would go.

    I was gonna say it says 103 on the derby cover. Mine had the polished derby and timing cover, but looked identical to yours.
