Not sure. Only listed as SUV. It's an impressive crash and upsetting.

In today's world of distracted drivers, riding a motorcycle in traffic is like playing a game where everyone is out to kill you, but it's real.

I sold my Magna after too many close calls, but the speed is certainly addictive.

Before I bought mine, I used to see everyone on bikes whizzing by and wondering why they were riding like such an idiot.

Then I got my V45 Magna, and I'm riding it and wondering why everyone is going so slow. Then I look at my speedometer and

The speed is just so effortless. (I thought my Magna was fast. A buddy got a Ninja 1200 and let me take it for a ride. 1 of only 2 times where something has been so fast that I actually turned around immediately and brought it back)

Makes think of this guy in Sweden who was running 150+mph when a lady pulled out in front of him. Everybody died.

Was that a rare 2-stroke race bike? That rear fairing reminds me of the old NS500's.

Some type of Honda is all I could find

The Honda rider was traveling at such a “very high speed”, his reaction time was not sufficient enough to avoid this accident. Swedish Police estimate a speed of ~250 KM/h (155mph) before the bike hit the slow moving car side-on at an intersection. At that speed, they predicted that the rider’s reaction time (once the vehicle came into view) wasn’t sufficient enough for him to even apply the brakes. The car had two passengers and the bike rider was found INSIDE the car with them. The Volkswagen actually flipped over from the force of impact and landed 10 feet from where the collision took place.

All three involved (two in car and rider) were killed instantly. This graphic demonstration was placed at the Stockholm Motorcycle Fair by the Swedish Police and Road Safety Department. The sign above the display also noted that the rider had only recently obtained his license. At 250 KM (155 mph) the operator is traveling at 227 feet per second. With normal reaction time to SEE-DECIDE-REACT of 1.6 seconds the above operator would have traveled over 363 feet (21 yards more than the length of a football field) while making a decision on what actions to take. In this incident the Swedish police indicate that no actions were taken.

We had an accident like this near Friendship NY probably in the late 80's early 90's. They estimated that the driver of the car could have looked the direction the bike was coming from and did not see it because it was too far away. Then looked the opposite direction, then pulled out only to be t-boned by the bike that had since closed the distance. I don't recall if the driver of the car was injured or not, but the biker was killed on impact. The car rolled, and from what i recall the bike did not enter the cabin of the car.

I'm going to say it's an RC45 but I'm no motorcycle expert.

Yep. Vastly different today vs when I started riding thirty+ years ago. These days I see so many drivers with the eyes on their phones instead of the road. Thanks to the Georgia hands-free law, now they're staring at their laps and thus even less peripheral vision on the road.

Sold my last bike ten years ago after too many friends were severely injured by other folks pulling out or turning in front of them with no time to react even at normal traffic speeds. One friend was killed hitting a stone wall after being forced off the road by an oncoming driver coming wide through the corner.

These days I enjoy carving up the twisties in a 4th gen Miata.

My days on street bikes are over as well. My next door neighbor has a 25 y.o. Son that has a loud Kawa that sounds like a chainsaw. Ever time he leaves his house it’s wide open to make the most noise and cut off other vehicles. What a dumb ass. I told my neighbor that he will wreck and hurt himself. He said no he’s been ridding for a year now. Next I see is the kid bandaged up with crutches. He said someone ran him off the road but he happened to be with a pack of other riders and no one was able to catch the other driver. RIGHT!

Reminds me of when I watched a lady messing around with stuff on the other side of her car as the gas pump cutoff didn't -- kept pumping gas as it overflowed her filler, splashing on the ground making a giant puddle.

    People can be amazingly oblivious.

Florida man mistakenly pumps gas onto the deck of his boat

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Mistakenly inserting a fuel nozzle into a fishing pole slot, a Florida man pumped $60 worth of gasoline onto the deck of his boat and the ground of a gas station, fire rescue officials said.

The incident happened Monday in the Orlando area, Orange County Fire Rescue spokesman Mike Jachles said on Twitter.

The gas flowed from the fishing pole hole and onto the deck of the 24-foot (7.3 meters) boat. The 31-year-old man realized his mistake and quit pumping.

As he tried to clean up the mess, the gasoline began leaking from the boat onto the ground at the 7-Eleven store. He told personnel and then called the fire department’s non-emergency number, Jachles said.

A technical rescue team siphoned the gas from the boat and cleaned up. The situation was described as a “level 3 hazmat,” meaning the potential of hazard was high, Jachles said.

Todays bikes are beyond fast. I think there should be some extra schooling for riders before twisting that handle grip.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
We had that happen here a few years back. Only it was 120 mph and he cut the minivan in half. 5 or 6 people died.

This stuff happens. I had an eccentric room mate while in grad school. Cool guy but he was all about saving a buck. He lived with 5 other dudes in a small house to save money. Owned two homes that he rented out (in So Cal). Worked for a government subcontractor in the aeronautical industry. He drove a +20 year old Buick that was all rusted out and had damage from 2 car accidents. He was so proud of this car. He paid $1,000 for it years before but since he was rear ended twice, he had basically made money off the POS car. His company board basically said he needed a new car. Next day he paid cash for a new car. I hope that email is fake, looks poorly worded and wouldn’t sit well if taken to court, but employers asking employees to get a new car is very much a sad reality.
