    Selling my cap. Planed to build it out to sleep in but found a used fourwheel camper we are going to pick up this weekend. Asking $650 made to fit 3rd gen tacoma. Comes with all keys and copies of keys . Cap is cleaned and has no issues. Seals well on my truck.

    Yes it can. It is riveted in and one could very easily drill the rivet heads off and pop the tool box cubby out.

    So I can't get behind the way this thing looks but I definitely like the way it looks like it will function.. so for that reason I'm considering it. Can anybody shed some light on the usefulness of this cap, versus, say, a fiberglass made to fit with flip open windows?

    These dcu's are very practical and all aluminum verses fiberglass so can drill and modify easier. This one looks very clean, GLWS!

    It’s definitely a function over looks. Looks always come second in my book. But the big thing for me was durability off road on washboard roads and tree limbs, Ect. Fiberglass cracks under stress. I dont like cracks on a $1500+ shell. And yes i use to have one.

    Price depends on dealer. When i purchased my truck new I contacted a local cap dealer and they quoted me 2600 for one just like i found used besides i had the fabric inside and lights as options on the new one i had quoted.
