SOCAL Truck Shops

So I am looking for ideas on where to go and get brakes done as well as a 5,000 mile service in Socal preferably close to the inland empire. the shop i go to now every 5,000 he is telling me I need new brakes and charges me alot for new pads so I am now on the hunt for someone with good prices and honest service not someone who is gonna charge me a ton for cheap pads. anyone have any good ideas on where I should go

pretty much oil filter, oil, air filter, brake check, tire rotation, tranny fluid check, and all other fluid checks. thats about it. I would love to learn how to do my own brakes I dont know why i am really nervous about doing it myself. I installed all of my own lift and alot of other mods myself but for whatever reason I am scared of the brakes.

 

someone needs to do a write up on how to do your brakes

 

Already a writeup newb. I have a friend that specializes in toyotas. Owns a Tacoma and his own shop. Nice and honest. If you want to drive to Fontana let me know. I'll give you his info. He is off the 10 just east of the 15.

 

New brakes at 5,000 miles? really? Doesn't sound right...look for the write-up...brakes are easy to do.

Just be sure you press the brake pedal a few times before you put the truck in gear to test your work. When you depress the brake caliper pistons while changing the pads, it requires a couple pumps of the foot to get pedal feel back again.

Too bad you are not in SD. The Truck Shop down here does all Toyota/Lexus/Scion and he specializes in lifted and performance trucks. He has worked on many SD and LA member's trucks and cars. I have friend come down to him because the 3ok and 60k service is way cheaper. Come down..get it fixed and wheel with a few of us in SD!
