They are actually my 3d printed prototypes. The final production colors will be the same as the lower chrome delete rings.
You could remove all the chrome rings and reassemble the dash. That's 99% of the work, and the blackout vent rings can be installed from the outside even with the dash put back together.

That's actually a great idea, and I might even go ahead and do that to mine just to have it ready.

I’ll probably update the first post and add the rings since it technically is a part of the “interior chrome delete”
They are in the mold right now. These will be a hit(especially for the price point of ~$25) and the different color/text available. I’ll be making a new thread for those

@MESO what's your plan for the new start rings? I have the OG rev but would like the updated rev if possible...

    A+ service Mr. Meso

Question (and out of curiosity) why do you think Toyota designed the vents rings with that glue/nub system? Your design seems to be a better (and more cost effective for them) path than what looks to be there now

It’s not actually glue, the nubs are melted plastic that’s part of the vent ring. It’s a different different color because they left it unfinished. Some engineer probably made the decision to do this so there was no chance they would pop out from vibrations or thermal cycling. The tooling could cost a pretty penny but it is negligible when you consider the Qty they pump out.
