Couple pics to update you on my ghetto built wanna be ultra 4 truck eventually will be set up for a coil over and triple bypass whenever I hit the lottery. Since it’s a welding thread here’s for decent welds for ya

 

Custom Fence post caps lol.
First time welding copper. Its .020” thick and I could only cut the fill rod strips so thin so welds looks like shit (only took a pic of the best one of course) oh well, just had to shine her up a bit!

Well, gave the lotos a shot.
It was DOA.

You are gonna actually replace it? I'd be shopping for something different.

 

No it’s gas. Just no anti spatter spray

 

I'm having a hard time buying that.

 

That’s it’s gas or sarcasm about the no anti spatter spray?

 

Somethings not right, I get less spatter than that using flux core.

I notice no pic of the welding rig as well.

 

Here’s the wire I’ve been using. And a bottle of 75/25 on a Hobart 180. I know there’s something wrong with the welder bc anytime I crack the bottle you can hear/feel the gas flowing. This was an abnormal amount of spatter but it was also a windy day welding outside

Anyone have experience with the Lincoln MP210 ??? looking to get a bigger MIG as well as start TIG welding down the road. Sold my stick a few years ago and have missed it. This might be a buy once cry once perchas. Does anyone know if this thing can weld worth a damn with all the bells and whistles it has???
